Seriously lacking in a) inspiration and b) motivation.

BBQ? Salad? Pizza oven?

What are your Sunday dinner plans?

BBQ sirloin steaks sliced and served on fries with a cream pepper sauce . Washed down with Victoria larger from home bargains 😋

PartnersInCrime · 19/05/2024 15:48

Salmon, new potatoes and asparagus al a Jamie Oliver though not in the air fryer as his new program showed, so adjusting method and cooking time.

Yesterday was a spatch cocked chicken on the BBQ (marinated in Nandos sauce) with salads and crusty bread

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 19/05/2024 15:53

Roast Chicken with a few different salads. I'll air-fry some home-frozen roast potatoes to please DH who, while he's not a total salad dodger, does like his tatties 🙂

IamaRevenant · 19/05/2024 15:54

Currently en route to my parents' for a full roast! Bit last minute but my mum's roasts are too good to pass up 😋.

Previously I had planned stuffed pork tenderloin (stuffing made from spinach, feta and sun dried tomatoes with garlic and herbs) wrapped in bacon, roast Mediterranean veg and roast baby potatoes so we'll have that tomorrow instead!

angieloumc · 19/05/2024 16:01

My DD is just home for the summer from uni so she chose today's dinner, garlic chicken with new potatoes, carrots and green beans, Eton mess for pudding. Her and my DS are working till 5 so it'll be ready to eat outside when they get in.

LeviOsaNotLeviosaa · 19/05/2024 16:02

Lasagne with salad and garlic bread :)

Somepeoplearesnippy · 19/05/2024 16:08

I'll be at an airport hotel. So M&S sanger and a bottle of wine. YUM!

longdistanceclaraclara · 19/05/2024 17:13

Paella,🥘

DaffydownClock · 19/05/2024 17:15

Pork escalopes, sautéd new potatoes with lemon and mint, petit pois and baby broad beans. Raspberry panna cotta to follow with shortbread fingers 😋

Devilshands · 19/05/2024 17:17

Big salad - salad leaves, coriander, mint, parsley, cucumber, tomato, red onion, feta, big chunky green olives, radish, avocado. It's literally in a serving dish it's so big.

Then a double M&S burger(two patties) in a Paul Hollywood crusty roll (they are AMAZING). Plus 100G of the M&S Triple cooked chips.

TBH nothing better than burger and salad on a hot day.

StormingNorman · 19/05/2024 17:31

Just me this evening so it’s pasta pesto with some green veg thrown in (broccoli, peas, spinach and courgette).

Absolutelynotmyfault · 19/05/2024 17:44

Boiling hot here today - so I’ve shoved a massive chicken in the oven. Serving with a Caesar salad and ciabatta loaf.

Chicken is absolutely huge - got a bigger one so that there will be leftovers for ciabatta chicken sandwiches for lunches tomorrow, hopefully can stretch the leftovers to a pasta dish tomorrow night too

Usually would have done a BBQ but I cleaned it perfectly last week and we’ve a party next weekend so frankly I just can’t be bothered to meticulously clean it again before then!!

Springchickenonion · 19/05/2024 17:56

Mince cooked in a tomato sauce with green string beans with rice

fatcathatmat · 19/05/2024 17:59

Something with aubergine, we got so many in our box this week. Don't know what yet though, maybe a satay. Aubergine recipes welcome

Glenthebattleostrich · 19/05/2024 18:10

rib eye steak, mushroom and salad. Really looking forward to it!

So many good ideas on this thread, I'm making a list of this weeks meal but this is what I've gone for - a cheese and chilli burger with loads of cheese, jalapenos, dirty lettuce (shredded, mixed with burger sauce) and chilli jam. With chips served with M&S Salt and Vinegar Mayo!

Roast chicken with all the trimmings. I'm having a colonoscopy on Thursday and have to start the boring low residue diet tomorrow so this will be a 'last supper' until Thursday evening.

mondaytosunday · 19/05/2024 18:29

We are having chicken burgers, wedges and salad.

Upwiththisiwillnotput · 19/05/2024 19:18

Souffled macaroni cheese and salad. I'm tired and need cheesy carbs!

Girasoli · 19/05/2024 19:38

Too hot to be properly hungry here - had some nice cheese my mum bought back from holiday, crusty rolls, cherry tomatoes and apple slices

DC had rolls, cheese and salad bits too plus a cheese and ham toasty (DS1) and plain egg noodles (DS2)

AuntieAntik · 19/05/2024 20:01

Bulgar wheat, salad, goat's cheese and spring onion filo tart.

TheChosenTwo · 19/05/2024 21:04

We had a Côte de boeuf done on the bbq, sautéed potatoes, a green salad and some bbq’d green veg which needed using up.
Magnums for pudding.

RobinEllacotStrike · 20/05/2024 06:31

Lamb Rogan Josh - made this for the first time & it was scrumptious.
With white basmati rice & a chopped tomato, onion, cucumber & herb salad.

DilemmaDelilah · 20/05/2024 08:32

Yesterday we had leftovers from the family lunch 'picnic' (at home) on Saturday.
Today will be whatever I can grab out of the freezer, we have a busy day and DH won't be home until around 7pm. Probably chunky fish fingers, but it might be ready-made lasagne (I don't normally buy ready-made as my lasagne is so much nicer... but we were on holiday last week and I don't cook on holiday.... This wasn't eaten)
Tomorrow - we will be having roast chicken! With whatever vegetables we got in the Lidl veg box yesterday plus carrots, broccoli and roast potatoes. It should be a feast! And - I'm working so DH will be cooking.

worriedgal · 20/05/2024 18:34

Halloumi, courgette and mushroom kebabs with couscous and roasted vegetable salad and a herby/ lemon dressing
