I’ve just tried blue cheese and honey on toast and it’s so delicious it’s genuinely taken me aback. I had the same the first time I ever tried guacamole.

What foods have done the same for you. Not things that are tasty and you enjoy, but that you’ve tried for the first time and genuinely got a shock at how delicious they are?

I had Georgian food while in Russia, and it was hands down the most delicious thing to eat. So interesting and a different way with spices and fruit - and the best most delicious bread. Georgia is so on my list to visit.

Ooh we have a Georgian restaurant near us. When we went there we had this lovely tasty vegetable casserole and these amazing chicken dumplings filled with a sort of clear broth. You had to eat them like liqueur chocolates - bite the end and drink the soup.

The talk of Georgian food has got me remembering Jack Monroe getting caught in one of her stupid lies on Twitter. Georgia Church cook out, or some such.

There’s a lovely Georgian restaurant in Islington, London that has the most beautiful dishes like a sort of bread boat shaped thing full of cheesy tastiness. They give you a zingy salad on the side. Dumplings very similar to pierogi. The people are really nice, too!

Goats cheese on cracker with a fresh sage leaf on it.... Wow, the flavour combo is incredible.
A new sage leaf is best rather than the thicker older leaves, it's one of those where the total is greater than the sum of the parts.
😋😋😋

Your post reminded me of a wedding in Tuscany where they served large sage leaves, dipped in what I think was seasoned, beaten egg and then coated in coarse cornmeal and deep fried. It was delicious and prompted me to get a sage plant so I could make it at home.

One of my favourite summer treats ...greenhouse tomatoes, no colder than room temperature, with sea salt flakes, balsamic vinegar and fresh, fresh bread (to mop up the vinegar and juice).

Papri chat from my local Indian street food takeaway. It’s so delicious.

Korean fried chicken was the taste explosion I didn't know I needed in my life. I go to sleep thinking about it sometimes.

I had this korean fried chicken in a restaurant called Yoki Social Table in Manchester - it had an amazingly light batter and I got it covered in honey garlic butter sauce. AMAZING. Sadly I live in the SE so can't go once a week like I would love to!
