Is it me? A parking/ boundary one

Ok,I live at the end house of a cul de sac.
I have a big drive.
I obviously have to drive over my neighbours drive to access my property.
For context my drive/ front garden can happily house 5 cars which it does as I have a car, my DH has a van and my boys both have a car.
Which we park on our drive,
Saturday I weeded my front garden.
Reversed my car to overhang the neighbours property by 2 foot
Her car is on her drive 15 foot away so in no way does it impact her access.
She called the police...
They actually came round!
Wtaf?
Yeah they were suitably embarrassed as I sent them away as they obviously knew she is crackers 😂
Hope the photo works 🫰

Your car was on her property! I’m genuinely impressed the police came out, but you’re in the wrong, what exactly are you expecting here?

You weeded your front garden? Why is this relevant to you parking on her drive?

KrisAkabusi · 08/04/2024 20:03

There's no photo so I don't know why you 'obviously' have to drive over your neighbour's drive. Because that's not normal.

ScroogeMcDuckling · 08/04/2024 20:04

Let’s hope your neighbours don’t return the favour reversing their car just enough to stop you getting on and off your property.

dangerous ground you’re treading

Mrsttcno1 · 08/04/2024 20:04

I’m amazed that the police came for that honestly, but you are in the wrong if you have left your vehicle on her property at all. If you need to move your car off your own property to do gardening then you should be finding somewhere else to park it- that’s not someone else’s property.

Fleurdalys · 08/04/2024 20:05

How did this impact her?

ElderMillenials · 08/04/2024 20:06

Why is it obvious you drive over the neighbours drive?
And why would you park over the drive to weed? I'm assuming if police were called the relationship is poor anyway so was it just to antagonise or flex...

Itloggedmeoutagain · 08/04/2024 20:06

Why do you obviously have to drive over her drive? Why is it obvious? What do you do if she's parked there?

Herdinggoats · 08/04/2024 20:06

5 cars which it does as I have a car, my DH has a van and my boys both have a car.

well that’s only 4 vehicles, your missing the fifth… but if you have enough room for 5 why were you overhanging her driveway?

ScroogeMcDuckling · 08/04/2024 20:06

i think it’s obvious now why she went to the police instantly.

you don’t seem to understand it her property not yours.

I'm impressed. My parents couldn't get the police to come out when their drug adled neighbour broke into their house and stole all the Christmas presents they'd bought for their grandkids.

Fleurdalys · 08/04/2024 20:05

How did this impact her?

Sooo not the point.... its her property, its not for you to decide how it impacts her.
She was slightly OTT to call the police though.
Unless she asked you to move and you didn't?..

calligraphee · 08/04/2024 20:07

Why?

You shouldn't park or drive over your neighbours' property.

Littlefish · 08/04/2024 20:08

Did you knock in her door and ask if it would be ok if you parked on her property, and let her know how long your car would be there for?

If not, then you were inconsiderate.

She should have just come and asked you to move your car, rather than calling the police. So she was unreasonable too.

However, you were rude and unreasonable to park on her property without asking first.

PeloMom · 08/04/2024 20:08

From the pic I don’t quite understand why you couldn’t park fully on your property…

I'm amazed the police came out for that OP! I hope they gave her a talk about wasting police time..

fieldsofbutterflies · 08/04/2024 20:10

I don't think she's the crackers one here.

Why do you have to drive over her property to get to yours? That's...unusual.

Hotdogity · 08/04/2024 20:10

Want to know who your local police force is

KrisAkabusi · 08/04/2024 20:10

Fleurdalys · 08/04/2024 20:06

Ok?

No, hasn't helped at all. Where is you neighbour's house? To the right of your house? Why do you have to drive on her property? Your photo only raises more questions.

bevelino · 08/04/2024 20:13

Can you imagine how annoying it would be having 5 cars driving over your property everyday.
