Is it me? A parking/ boundary one

Ok,I live at the end house of a cul de sac.
I have a big drive.
I obviously have to drive over my neighbours drive to access my property.
For context my drive/ front garden can happily house 5 cars which it does as I have a car, my DH has a van and my boys both have a car.
Which we park on our drive,
Saturday I weeded my front garden.
Reversed my car to overhang the neighbours property by 2 foot
Her car is on her drive 15 foot away so in no way does it impact her access.
She called the police...
They actually came round!
Wtaf?
Yeah they were suitably embarrassed as I sent them away as they obviously knew she is crackers 😂
Hope the photo works 🫰

When you say drive over do you mean drive past?

cate16 · 08/04/2024 20:15

I need a drawing...

Fleurdalys · 08/04/2024 20:15

The photo is my car foot on her drive 😂

😆

It’s a crazy world out there op! People genuinely get upset over this sort of thing. I’m just thankful for my neighbours right now.

See previous posts 😂

You keep using laughing emojis, but nothing you have said, or your photos, explains why you have to drive, or walk or prance on your neighbour's drive to get to your own driveway!

Cosycover · 08/04/2024 20:17

Looks like you're just parked in front of her property and not in front of her driveway? Or does that fence open up there?

Itloggedmeoutagain · 08/04/2024 20:18

Why are you not parked on your own drive? Does weeding the garden stop you parking on your drive?

TheHorneSection · 08/04/2024 20:18

I don’t understand why you obviously have to drive over her property to get to yours?!

PuntasticUsername · 08/04/2024 20:19

I see the fun sponges are out in force tonight 🙄

Blackcats7 · 08/04/2024 20:20

I think you mean you have to drive past the end of your neighbour’s driveway to get to your drive. Is that correct?
Looking at the photo you were blocking her access which is hardly a police matter (unless there is history here you haven’t told us) but it is rude and inconsiderate to do so without checking it’s ok.

Fleurdalys · 08/04/2024 20:13

I'm the end house
I obviously have to drive/ walk/ strut/dance or prance to access my own home 😂

do you have a legal right of access? Make sure it can’t be revoked if you are taking the piss by parking when you just have access rights. Would be catastrophic for your property value

Presumably the OP has moved her car to weed where it would usually be parked.

It's really not difficult to understand is it?

This place is so fucking annoying sometimes.

The neighbours acted ridiculously here.

allthemiddlechildrenoftheworld · 08/04/2024 20:23

@Fleurdalys please try to draw a birds eye view of your access to your drive so we can understand why you need to drive over neighbours drive to get to your driveway!

But she can't just leave it on someone else's property to do that Hmm

Dancingontheedge · 08/04/2024 20:25

So, you are coming across as incoherent and too idle to park reasonably and walk. And all the LOLing is ridiculous.
My neighbours have vans, multiple motorbikes, cars and they’ve just added a camper van to the collection. I’m not bothered because they are delightful and have always been considerate.
You, on the other hand…

The photo shows an empty drive. She says she was weeding the garden so borders lawn that kind of thing. She's not weeding the drive

Fleurdalys · 08/04/2024 20:06

Ok?

Yeah, you’re in the wrong. There’s no need for it.

TheDefiant · 08/04/2024 20:27

You aren't explaining this as well as you think you are...

Dancingontheedge · 08/04/2024 20:27

If I want to weed my front garden, I have to move my car because there is a wide variety of weeds that flourish under my vehicle, in the gaps between the bricks.

boozeclues · 08/04/2024 20:28

Eh from that picture it looks like you are parked on the road blocking access to your own drive and the back of your car is in front of her fence?

is there a rule about parking on the road where you live?

if not your are deffo NBU and your neighbour is insane!

ineedsun · 08/04/2024 20:29

I’m so confused, I have no idea what’s going on but am hoping all will become clear.

Why obviously? what are we looking at in the photo? Why LOL? What’s strutting and prancing got to do with anything? Why all the laughing emojis?

This reminds me of when someone has taken some sort of substance and no one else has and they’re having a great time on their own

scruffydogstinks · 08/04/2024 20:30

This is a rubbish parking thread. No map drawing and rubbish photos that don't show the issue properly. 2/10 op. Please try harder.

Correct
At least you get it!
My car was one foot on her driveway
I'll leave it here now as nobody else gets it

1 household and 4 cars is obscene - more car sharing needs to happen otherwise parking threads are doing to get more and more common and people frustrated about lack of space
