To call out 1 of the other school mums

We're all in a school Mums WhatsApp group and we're trying to organise a leaving party for our year 6's. 8 of us want to do a disco type affair for everyone but this 1 mum is trying to organise a cinema trip and meal out for her DD and trying to entice other kids in. I'm absolutely raging. AIBU if I completely lose the plot and call her a cunt.

Do it. Publicly. Make sure the whole of the school hears about it. I'm sure you'll get loads of applause on Facebook, hun. You tell that cheeky mare what's what.

PurplePanda1 · 29/03/2024 12:50

You sound like a group of kids yourself apart from the prospective foul name calling which is totally unnecessary.

InTheShallowTheShalalalalalalalow · 29/03/2024 12:50

Raging because people have a choice?

My dc would have preferred the cinema and a meal over a disco.

YWB ridiculous to 'call her out'.

Precipice · 29/03/2024 12:50

Reverse?

MummyDummyNow · 29/03/2024 12:50

What do the kids want to do?

WibblyWobblyWeeble · 29/03/2024 12:51

Crikey, calm down, she's perfectly entitled to want something different.
If the rest of you don't, just politely, but firmly tell her it's going to be a disco and she's welcome to help out.

FortofPud · 29/03/2024 12:52

Definitely don't do that! Can they not happen on different days? Discos always end excluding a few kids who feel uncomfortable at them so very reasonable to want to do something different if her kid is like that. Not good to poach from your event though. But you'll do yourself no favours by name calling.

DontCallMeKidDontCallMeBaby · 29/03/2024 12:52

I’d just get the kids to vote and go with that. My dc would prefer the cinema trip, others might too.

trippily · 29/03/2024 12:52

Wot

Zonder · 29/03/2024 12:52

Do they have to be on the same day? What do the kids want?

x2boys · 29/03/2024 12:52

If this is true
You need to grow up.

MeadowL · 29/03/2024 12:53

My DH has already said he'll be the dj and has turned down other gigs to do this one, and he's doing it at cost price so he's going to be out of pocket too! Fuming 😠

How will you be 'calling her out'?

Maybe grow up a bit?

HelloMiss · 29/03/2024 12:53

He shouldn't even be charging!!

Hiddenvoice · 29/03/2024 12:54

If her child doesn’t want a disco and said she’d rather go to the cinema then fair enough to the mum for arranging that instead. Why not do both and children attend what they want to attend.

CuriousGeorge80 · 29/03/2024 12:54

Yeah sure OP

DanielGault · 29/03/2024 12:55

I'm guessing you're not a fan of hers? At the very least, you both sound a wee bit over invested in children's parties 🤔

x2boys · 29/03/2024 12:55

Think you have over egged the pudding now ....

roarrfeckingroar · 29/03/2024 12:55

YABU for using the term "call out"

Daffsinfeb · 29/03/2024 12:56

Yep do it. Lose the plot and call her a c*nt.

All for not complying with your frankly schoolgirl bullying behavior.

ThePoshUns · 29/03/2024 12:56

Yeah but no but yeah. Am I bovvered?

lazyarse123 · 29/03/2024 12:56

So that's really what your problem is.
Offer both on different days and kids can pick one or both.

HelloMiss · 29/03/2024 12:56

I'm failing to see the 'calling out' part?

I think op is a bit bored today

SBHon · 29/03/2024 12:56

Is the leaving party for the benefit of yourselves or the kids? Shouldn’t the kids get to choose what they’d prefer to do?

Motnight · 29/03/2024 12:57

HelloMiss · 29/03/2024 12:53

He shouldn't even be charging!!

Your DH is charging?!
