To call out 1 of the other school mums

We're all in a school Mums WhatsApp group and we're trying to organise a leaving party for our year 6's. 8 of us want to do a disco type affair for everyone but this 1 mum is trying to organise a cinema trip and meal out for her DD and trying to entice other kids in. I'm absolutely raging. AIBU if I completely lose the plot and call her a cunt.

These sound like events that should run side by side. I don't understand what there is to be upset about.

Organise the disco. Some kids will do both events but some kids absolutely hate discos so it's nice for there to be an alternative.

When my DC was in y6, school organised a disco. Parents separately organised a sort of toned down prom with photo booth and red carpet, on a different day.
Kids who wanted to go, went. Kids who didn't want to go didn't go.
Outside of this were smaller scale events like cinema trips, escape rooms, parties. All on different days.
Nobody called anybody out over trying to do something nice. Nobody made a profit from it.
It was for the kids, based on what they wanted to do.

what's wrong with you?!

1. What "cost" would your DH incur doing this gig?
2. Why can't the kids choose which they want to do? What if some would prefer cinema outing to dodgy dad disco?
3. "Entice"?? Really?? 🙄

Maybe ask the children ,then see .Maybe the Disco could be one evening, and the cinema the next maybe? Some DC arent very comfortable with Disco so the Cinemas may be better for them ?

He normally gets over 4 figures per gig, he's doing this for 200 just cover time/expenses etc Anyway it's not about him it's about this other Mum trying to steal the limelight!

Hold both events on different days and let the dc decide which they want to do - they can do both if they want. You are creating a problem when there isn’t one.
