I'm off to ikea to look at kids beds later. I haven't been for YEARS

Are there any must buys or gadgets/great items that one simply must have to make your home/life easier

Would welcome suggestions!

Random and obscure but the ziplock bags of all sizes are bloody amazing!

Other than that make sure you grab a trolley and try not to wince when you see your grand total ... One cannot simply go to IKEA to look at stuff!

An octopus for hanging small items of laundry, saves so much space on the line/airer. We call ours the kraken, they have eyes and everything! Only £3 each at the moment too

Daim pie and meatballs. Forget the furniture.

I assumed Daim pie and meatballs were a given! 🤣 I don't associate with people who go to IKEA and don't eat them. 😁

Ikea is good, but not what it was. I first went to the store in Neasden in 1989 and was overwhelmed. A lot of other shops have caught up and you Ikea is not so unique. However, you can't get meatballs at Dunelm. We love the store near Sheffield Arena for a cheap pre-gig meal.

Ha, we call ours soctopus!! They are fab, we have 3.

I got this light on my last trip, but with an even bigger bulb (sold separately). I really like it. And I'm another huge fan of the freezer bags.

A cinnamon bun thing on the way in, just to keep your strength up.

A few candles
A few picture frames
A couple of hand towels with the little hook on them.
Little coffee cups with no handles. They come in green or blue pattern.
A small soft football for ds for the house, I needn’t bother coming home without one.

All the food and the clippy things that @DSD9472 said. The jute storage baskets too.
