To ask about what made you happy today

Just feel like being cheered up with all the doom and gloom.
I’ll start.
Had my hair cut and for once it’s just how I wanted it. Think it makes me look a bit younger. 🙂

My daughter came in from Brownies tonight and gave me a big hug and when I collected my youngest from nursery so she was so happy to see me she literally jumped for joy ❤️

Jealous of your hair, OP! Haven’t had ‘the perfect cut’ in years.

I had cake & custard for pudding tonight. I really shouldn’t have, but I did, and it’s made me very happy .

My friend called when I was in work, just to say hi and see how I was. Cheered me up!

Hmmm, still waiting.....

My adult son came in with flowers im not well and he struggles with emotion... it meant a lot x

I've been off work sick - migraine - and my boss texted me to see how I am... I was happy because I know it's a genuine concern and not a ploy to get me back into the office quicker... happy to have a nice boss!

I managed the world's best 'elevator pitch' for the new project I've been put on and conducted myself with confidence and professionalism, not letting my team lead do the speaking for me and just generally acting 'up'. This time last year my confidence was in tatters and I was struggling so much.
Not only that, but I managed this whilst fighting off some horrid lurgy. Went to bed at 7pm I felt so rough.
Immensely proud of myself today. Must book a haircut soon.... what style did you go for?

Hanging out with my kids after school. They usually drive me bat shit but today was a good day, we played hide and seek in the library play area after swimming and we had fun!

Lovely walk at lunch with DH. We live in the countryside so lots of nice walks. We walked along the river and through some meadows and saw snowdrops. There was warmth in the sun and I ended up taking my coat off. The air was so fresh and it was so quiet, only us and some birds singing.

My teen smiled when she saw me at pick up time, being in the garden, listening to my children laugh. An impromptu hug from my adult son. My dh thanked me for cooking dinner.

Had a layered bob. 🙂

I bought myself new earrings in tk max.

I had a nice two hour afternoon nap and when l woke up my cat was cuddled up to me.

It felt a bit spring like today, I smiled

My DDIL sent me a photo of my 5 week old grandson in a jumper I crocheted for him. He looked lovely and he’s getting really chunky.

I finally had a bit of time to do some art and felt so much better afterwards ☺️

Love it when a haircut is just right! I’ve got my first appointment with a new hairdresser in a couple of weeks and I’m praying she’s as good as my last one!

My son has made me smile a lot today. He’s two and just so funny, such a little character 🥰 he looked at me earlier while we were painting and said ‘lovely mama’ and gave me a (big slobbery!) kiss and it just about made me cry 😭

I look after my friend's toddler every Monday, but haven't had him for a few weeks. He just seemed so happy to be with us again today and was full of grins.

We watched the newest Bluey episodes and played with new toys and books I bought for him last week. I got lots of cuddles and he had way too much fun taking selfies on my phone while also trying to send texts to DH and my DC (with hilarious results thanks to autocorrect). Seeing his lovely cheeky smile so much today honestly made me so happy.

Finding out how much I had in my pension pot, I had no idea 😆

Been feeling really ill for the last two weeks. I’m annoyed at my DH who hasn’t once asked me if there was anything he could get me or anything I’d like.
(I’m talking about while he was on his way home from work e.g. medicinal items, things that might cheer me up like a Freddo. I hasten to add that I’m like Florence Nightingale when HE is ill. )

Anyway, I got my son’s report and one of his teachers said that she’d never come across someone as gifted as him in this particular subject.
I was really delighted.
(I was also that pupil in this subject but no one ever acknowledged it. So I’m even more delighted as I feel I’ve been vindicated after all this time 😂)
I hope I’ve explained that properly. Of course, it is my son’s achievement.

Found dozens of little snowdrops poking through under the horse chestnut and had a lovely hour on the beach without getting blown over.

Bought myself some fancy new felt tips and can’t wait to crack open my colouring book shortly.

My lovely colleague sent me pictures from her trip home to see her family. It made me happy to see her glowing with her kith and kin.
