Just feel like being cheered up with all the doom and gloom.
I’ll start.
Had my hair cut and for once it’s just how I wanted it. Think it makes me look a bit younger. 🙂

I had an ugly crusty thing burned off my face on Monday by the dermatologist and today the scab fell off to reveal a patch of smooth pink skin.

My 16 year old has started a new learning environment. Autistic, adhd, anxiety, ehlers danlos syndrome. Has struggled with school since age 11. Hasn't really tolerated any formal learning environment since then.
Did 3 full days last week in the new place, and we had a meeting with guidance counsellor today where my kid asked questions, took notes, smiled, signed various agreements and is gone to bed early tonight as they are looking forward to going in tomorrow.
Its hard to explain to those who haven't been through anxiety based school avoidance, but this is a big step.

I went for a walk in my lunch break and saw a woodpecker 🙂

Lovely to read everyone's happy things.

I had a brilliant work out with a dear friend this morning. Challenging and we laughed a lot.

My daughter recorded me a 1 minute 30 song where she sang the following (not verbatim)

I reaaaally love my mummy
My mummy is my heeeero
She makes me happy
She gives me hugs
She gives me cuddles when I'm poorly..

I reeeeaally love my mummy
I follow her everywhere just like a shadow..
She makes me yummy dinners
She takes me to school and Rainbows and swiiiiimming
I reeeally love my mummy.

Ha, listening to it makes me smile so much.

My DD got her test result back - she passed with 100% score. She was really excited, she has additional needs and learning is hard for her so moments like this are very precious.

Met some people I used to work with for lunch, I'm retired so nice to catch up. Two of my sons phoned for a chat, both on the phone for over half an hour which was nice.

I agree. I think acknowledging little runs in life is really important!
