I don’t watch films that often, but watched on Amazon Prime largely due to Carey Mulligan/Rosamund Pike…

It’s visually good, but felt rushed/unbelievable towards the end…

It’s just not convincing - particularly ‘Oliver’…

Absolutely loved it as did my adult DS, friends and family. I was glad I wasnt watching it with DS especially the ending. I wouldn't have known where to look 😂

I was furious that we didn’t get to hear more of Farleigh singing Rent, but otherwise I loved it.

i wasn’t that disturbed by any of the scenes though. Possibly that’s concerning! I just thought they were clearly in bad taste but someone sticking their dick in a pile of soil is not something I can’t handle

It was a figure of speech. I wasn't being nasty to him, I was being nasty about him, one post of dozens one one thread of hundreds on one forum of many where the film, that cast, their talent, their faces and everything else will be being discussed in an opinionated fashion. He will almost certainly never see it, and I he did he would not care.

What I find interesting is that the first time you quoted me you just "wow"d and then laughed about his antlers; since then you seem to have become increasingly vexed about it, first posting generally about the unpleasantness of folk, and then when that wasn't enough for you directly @ing me to scold me personally, and then when I refused to be sufficiently cowed you Advanced Searched and went after my eating disorder. As the kids say, "that escalated quickly".

May one assume drink has been taken? I imagine if I AS'd you right now this wouldn't be the only head on which you're spoiling for a fight.

I loved it! Have watched it a few times now.
I also thought the dry heave comment over someone’s face was out of order.

Where do you stand on the orderliness of mocking someone for their eating disorder (directly to them, as opposed to on a random forum post they'll never see)?

You give it, you take it. Not nice having someone mock you for something ypu cannot help is it? What’s good for the goose…

The dry heave comment wasn’t particularly nice but Barry Keoghan isn’t here to read it. Being unpleasant directly to someone about their eating disorder triggered by their mother’s suicide is just really nasty.

Wouldn’t you think that someone who actively knows what it feels like to be judged on how they look would abstain from ridiculing someone for what their face looks like. It was a nasty, bitchy, uncalled for comment but when the same is done back they don’t like it.

I agree with you, it wasn't nice and I regretted it in a later post. Still getting used to MN having an edit function!

Don't worry though, I am not upset by the likes of Khaki. Astonished, but not upset. Just as there are worse things than being fat and unntractive (to most), there are worse things than being "called out" in an increasingly incoherent way by an internet random. The only good thing about having gone through some of the worse things, fof me at least, is that it gives you perspective on this sort of nonsense and it's water off the proverbial duck's back.

Mocking someone’s appearance behind their back, and mocking someone having an eating disorder to their (online) face is not the same. Having a binge eating disorder isn’t about being judged on how you look, it runs far deeper. It’s really cruel to still be getting at herewego but thankfully she seems to be rising above it.

I am not at all bothered about being judged for how I look. I do not look good, I know it. The issues I have with my ED is the lack of control, the physical pain and poor health that are the outcomes. Really not fussed that I don't look nice. I don't have to look at me.

I'm not bothered by Khaki being mean. I'm a big girl (in every sense!) and I can take it. I'm just enthralled by her hypocrisy! And slightly amazed she went so far as to AS me for ammunition.
