Do you know your husband's passcode?

Just that, how many of you know your husbands/partners passcode for their phone?

OP posts:
PickAChew · 27/12/2023 23:55

No and he doesn't know mine apart from the different one I use on my laptop. I also have loads of passwords on a memory stick in case the worst happens.

I'm stuffed for dealing with the leccy and broadband if anything happens to him, though.

Goodlard · 27/12/2023 23:47

@MidnightMeltdown surely you realise that's only to a nominated single contact or 999?

Rather than multiple contacts in an emergency?

Yes of course. Assuming that if it's that much of an emergency that you can't reach for your own phone, it would be because you're dialling 999!

Goodlard · 27/12/2023 23:57

@MidnightMeltdown assuming you don't want to contact someone in his contact list.....

I suppose some of us are in good trusting relationships and some not!

Sad really.

LangMayYerLumReek2024 · 27/12/2023 23:57

Yes we know each others. Same with pins and other passwords.

GLC789 · 27/12/2023 23:58

Yes, we know each others as we will ask one and other to look a text etc if the other is driving something. Well, a slight white lie actually, my husband needs reminding of mine every time I need him to look at my phone 😂😂. But you get the gist.

Never felt the need to ask for it with the purpose of looking at his phone though, and vice versa.

LaughingCat · 28/12/2023 00:00

We’re the other way around - I forget his passcode every time I need to borrow his phone and he gets so frustrated at having to remind me! 😂. I’m trying to think now and nope, it’s gone again - he only reminded me this morning as well! He knows mine too. We have each other on FindMy as well. Got nothing to hide.

Though he did see some nude pics of me on my phone last week when he was looking for photos of tiles I’d taken, to show the bathroom suppliers. He was properly quiet and abrupt with me for three days while I tried to work out what was wrong. Finally all spilled out when he quizzed me really intensely about who I was talking and sending photos to, in a seriously accusing tone. I brought up our text conversation and scrolled back to when I’d sent them to him, in July. Just goes to show, even with complete openness and a high degree of trust, a short memory can still cause suspicion 😂

1967 ☘️?

or 1888 or possibly Henrik larrsons birthday 😂 still think he loves me slightly more than henke but it will be close!

MidnightMeltdown · 28/12/2023 00:00

@Deathbyfluffy

Each to their own, but I wouldn't like someone going through my personal messages. Judging by the number of threads I see on here where women have discovered something that they don't like by going through their partners phone, I think it's a pretty common thing to do, but it's not something that I would be willing to tolerate.

jackstini · 28/12/2023 00:02

Yes - same as mine

Jumpingthruhoops · 28/12/2023 00:02

I do. And he knows mine. I struggle to understand why anyone wouldn't.

LBOCS2 · 28/12/2023 00:03

Yes, and he knows mine. He knows my passwords for everything too, and has told me his but I did not dedicate any brain space to remembering them and therefore have to ask him again every time he wants me to look something up for him. He finds this annoying.

Wellhellooooodear · 28/12/2023 00:03

Yes but only because I've needed to borrow his phone a few times. I've no interest in looking at stuff.

blorm · 28/12/2023 00:03

Yes

IWishIWasABaller · 28/12/2023 00:03

Yes we have the same one

TheChosenTwo · 28/12/2023 00:04

We both know each others.

MrsDrDear · 28/12/2023 00:08

Yes it's same as mine and the TV pin so we only have one number to remember.

Goodlard · 28/12/2023 00:08

@RJnomore1 or some numerical version of paradise?

Wristfolds · 28/12/2023 00:10

Yes. He’s always astounded if I unlock it in the car etc. I remind him that he changed the fire stick PIN code to his pass code some time ago so I sort of have to remember it…

MeinKraft · 28/12/2023 00:13

Faceache45 · 27/12/2023 23:16

I'm not interested TBH. I wouls never look at this phone. I honestly don't care. My friend shaged a random in an alleyway. In 3 minutes she ended her marriage and life as she knew it. It was done in a drunken moment. I just reckon shit can happen in seconds. I'm not going to worry myself over it unless I have to.

Yep. If someone is going to cheat on you, they're going to cheat and worrying and phone checking and all that isn't going to do a damn thing about it.

Rosiesmummy17 · 28/12/2023 00:14

He tells me when I ask for it to go on and send myself photos etc but I forget it every time afterwards lol

HamBone · 28/12/2023 00:17

I don’t know his passcode, but apparently DS has memorized it as we use an app to limit his WIFI…so he watched DH enter his code a few times and occasionally sneaks onto the phone to override the app. 🤣

Ludoole · 28/12/2023 00:17

Yes and knows mine. Don't need to use use it though.

PrinnyPree · 28/12/2023 00:21

Yes, it's not changed for over a decade. He knows mine too. I could look at his phone at any time as he leaves it around, same him for me, I never feel compelled to though. Only time I've used his phone is if mine's run out of juice, and I need to use the camera or internet.

I would never look through his WhatsApp, email or anything though. I think its fair to have some privacy and be able to talk to friends and family in confidence.

Womencanlift · 28/12/2023 00:23

Yes we know each others. Nothing to do with trust or lack thereof and more to do with practicality when one of us is driving, usually around whose music we play in the car.

Sometimes we will answer texts on the others behalf if we are driving

larkstar · 28/12/2023 00:25

bozzabollix · 27/12/2023 22:43

Yeah course. It’s the same as mine.
