Just that, how many of you know your husbands/partners passcode for their phone?

I think I know it and he probably knows mine as it’s a significant date. We don’t use each others phones as they are personal. I gave him my last code years ago when we were out hillwalking and his phone had next to no battery so in case I had an accident or something I told him my phone code is xxxx I case you need to use it for anything. If he wants it I have nothing to hide.

EmmaGrundyForPM · 27/12/2023 23:36

He did tell me but I've forgotten it.

Avonia · 27/12/2023 23:36

Yes, we know each other's codes. To us it's always been a sensible thing to share in case of emergency, nothing really to do with trust.

IAmAnIdiot123 · 27/12/2023 23:36

firsttimemum1212 · 27/12/2023 23:32

Yes and he has mine. I also know the passwords to absolutely everything of his and he mine, but I bet you he doesn’t remember it

I got a new phone which wiped our fingerprint data. It drives me mad he can't remember my 4 digit code and asks me EVERY BLOODY TIME he uses it, mainly when I'm driving and ask him to do something.

Snellytheelephant · 27/12/2023 23:38

Yes, both know each others. We usually just use whichever phone is closest to us so it’s a practicality thing really.

Deadringer · 27/12/2023 23:38

Don't know don't care

takealettermsjones · 27/12/2023 23:40

Yes, we know each other's, in case of emergency or just dead batteries etc. But we would always ask permission when possible, not snoop etc.

Talktometellmeyourname · 27/12/2023 23:41

Yes, we’ve got the same one. Dunno why really, been like it for years.

PSG · 27/12/2023 23:42

No idea if he has one.

MidnightMeltdown · 27/12/2023 23:43

OneTC · 27/12/2023 23:35

Yeah I'd never actually look at OH's phone it just seems sensible that either of us would be able to use each others phones in an emergency

Surely most phones allow you to make emergency calls without a passcode?

I wouldn't like anyone to have my passcode.

tiggergoesbounce · 27/12/2023 23:45

I should know it as he tells me if i need to get into his stuff for something, but i never remember it. Hence having to ask him every time, i know its the same one every time as when he says it, i think of course it is !!! But then forget again

Sodullincomparison · 27/12/2023 23:46

Yep - it’s the same as the tv passcode and his bank card. Simple kinda guy.

FijiSea · 27/12/2023 23:46

Yes because sometimes he gets photos from family or messages and he can’t be bothered moving to get his phone so asks me to check his messages 😆
We use whoever’s phone is nearest to look stuff up , both know each others , just for easiness.

pizzaHeart · 27/12/2023 23:47

Yes, and he knows mine.

L1ttledrummergirl · 27/12/2023 23:47

Mines a technophobe, I set them up for him.

WhateverMate · 27/12/2023 23:47

Yes. I'm married to a complete luddite who can't even set his own phone alarm properly.

The whole family knows his passcode 🤣🤣

Goodlard · 27/12/2023 23:47

@MidnightMeltdown surely you realise that's only to a nominated single contact or 999?

Rather than multiple contacts in an emergency?

Blazingunicorns · 27/12/2023 23:49

Yes I do

ClottedCreamScone · 27/12/2023 23:50

I do. When they had fingerprint unlocking he made one of the options my thumb too. I use his phone all the time and he uses mine.

Deathbyfluffy · 27/12/2023 23:51

veeolay · 27/12/2023 22:52

No. He doesn't know mine either. No need to 🤷‍♀️

Handy to be able to quickly Google something if your phone isn’t in easy reach if nothing else :)

Ambi · 27/12/2023 23:53

No and he doesn't know mine as mine is a work phone with confidential information on it.

Deathbyfluffy · 27/12/2023 23:53

MidnightMeltdown · 27/12/2023 23:43

Surely if you trust a partner and you’ve got nothing to hide it’s a non-issue?

PillowRest · 27/12/2023 23:53

Yes, and my parents.
Mostly for the morbid reason that if anything happens we'd all be able to access photos on eachothers phones rather than them being lost.

Gingerbee · 27/12/2023 23:54

Yes it is the year we met

Sometimeswinning · 27/12/2023 23:55

bozzabollix · 27/12/2023 22:43

Yeah course. It’s the same as mine.

same here!
