To ask how often you clean your loo?

Settle an argument with DH, who thinks me bleaching the toilet each day is OTT. My reasoning- it's the grossest place in the house, why wouldn't you?!

I bleach it three times a day. Anyone who doesn’t is frankly disgusting. Also, I have no life so have time for this level of bleaching.

Every other day, and yes I use bleach.

For all the people saying they don't use bleach as it's so bad etc - do you realise all wastewater goes through a chlorination (bleach) stage at the wastewater treatment plant?

Probably once every two months, unless someone has been unwell. Gross, I know, but there we are.

cleaner comes every fortnight, she does the loo. We have a clip in toilet bleach thingy. If there are visible marks, we’ll clean straight away. I’ll maybe wipe the seat every few days? And I’m always conscious to do a wipe before the cleaner comes as I don’t like the idea of her having to clear up anything she shouldn’t have to.

I use the extra strong limescale remover one by harpic once or twice a week....if I don't then it gets discoloured inside. We do have extremely hard water though.

The rest I clean pretty regularly, but I live with a 6 year old boy with bad aim....

Wipe it down every other day.. put Toilet cleaner down it daily.

Certainly not every day
Obviously if its visibly dirty I would clean it with bleach and loo brush... but a proper scrub maybe once every week or so but I'm quite chaotic so it really is just a case of whether I remember to or not

I put Toilet Duck in it every day and a proper thorough clean every other day.

I clean what I can see, so that's daily wipes with the kids. And a thorough clean once a week.

Everyone cleanse up after themselves so it'd always clean. But a proper clean with toilet cleaner, once a week. Everyday is OTT imo

Daily, or every 2 days MAX. It takes 2 minutes and it makes me feel good😂

It gets bleached once a week. It gets cleaned in the sense that we clean up after ourselves everyday.

Same for us.

Our cleaner does a deep clean weekly and we both clean as we go with a loo brush.

Each of us is responsible for cleaning anything visible after every use that leaves anything that needs cleaning.

I do a brief wipe over of the loo seat every morning.

My husband does a full scrub every weekend.

Maybe we're mingers but I don't think it needs more.

Proper clean once a week and each household member is responsible for ant needed clean ups after use in the interim.

We also have one of those toilet cleaning rim blocks.

I'm still waiting for a live-in housekeeper, so until then it gets cleaned if anyone outside the family is coming around, or it looks manky.

Twice a week I’d say on average. No more than that. When we had 3 toilets it was weekly. Now all 3 of us share 1 so it does need doing more frequently. But we do leave it clean after each use too.

Don’t use bleach, just a toilet gel and silicone brush.

I only use bleach if somebody is ill. I have a quick wipe round the bathroom and toilets most days and a proper clean once a week.

We all bleach and brush inside the pan after every No2, everywhere else disinfected and wiped round with loo roll every 2 or 3 days. I won’t accept mudslides left for others to clean.

I've never touched a toilet, my live-in housekeeper does everything like that.

I would expect her to at least check toilets daily and scrub down to get rid of marks, but only give a bleach-up if the toilet's badly stained (once a quarter?)

My housekeeper uses lovely organic scented aromatherapy infusions rather than harmful chemicals.

Do they wipe your bum too?
