Anyone have any experience of this and what will happen next?
ds13 was shown an explicit video at school of a child aged 13 having sex with another child.

i have reported to school
I previously reported to social services but nothing happened.
will anything happened or will this just continue and we have to accept that we just live in this world ?

It's a safeguarding issue. Who shared the video?

How do you know nothing was done?

Why did you report it to the school? Has it happened in school?

MatthewsMumFromTikTok · 19/10/2023 11:46

Why are you not reporting to the Police as this is a CRIME

FUZZY WUZZY is about right here!

Lindy2 · 19/10/2023 11:46

Do you know for sure nothing happened with Social Services? They wouldn't necessarily keep you informed.

I would say this is potentially a police issue. Sharing this content could put someone on the sex offenders register.

What a horrible situation.

MatthewsMumFromTikTok · 19/10/2023 11:47

Crime or 2 actually

Bigfuzzywuzzybear · 19/10/2023 11:48

I did prev report to police and social services. I know nothing has been done as the boys are still sharing the video!
the girl is also sharing it!

And so I called the school who knew nothing about it - so why hasn’t police or social services contacted them ?

Neverinamonthofsundays · 19/10/2023 11:49

But that is an actual crime that is crazy.

MatthewsMumFromTikTok · 19/10/2023 11:49

Police should be your first option

So report to the school as a safeguarding issue and make sure they do their job and alert the relevant bodies.

I have also reported to crime stoppers who said they couldn’t take it!

You're just going around in circles. If you have reported to the school and pupils are showing the video and see involved in the footage, it is a serious issue and therefore falls under safeguarding. The onus is definitely on the school to start the ball rolling.

Bigfuzzywuzzybear · 19/10/2023 11:54

They just said they will pass to social services as if they go and ask the boys they will just deny it

The safeguarding officer won't comment on next steps but will acknowledge your report. I find the apathy incredible.

Knivesandforks · 19/10/2023 11:59

Put it in writing/ email to the School as per their safeguarding policy. Then report again to police but tell them you've reported to school. Report to MASH too
