Many, many of you will disagree with mine.

  • runny egg yolk. It turns my stomach watching Four in a Bed when they cut open their poached eggs 🤢 I absolutely love a fried egg with a rock hard yolk though.
  • anything extremely cheesy, like a cheese fondue.
  • a seafood platter.
  • unmelted butter. So I would never have it on sandwiches, for example.
  • pâté

I should be slimmer than I am, but unfortunately my love of cake, crisps and chocolate makes up for the butter and cheese Blush

Interesting. All your nightmares are things I love! I can’t eat hard egg yolk (or egg white at all). Love cheese, seafood, butter and pâté. I could probably live off bread and butter with cheese and pâté if I had to choose a limited range of foodstuffs.
My nightmares are:
peas
sprouts
broad beans
kale
offal

DilemmaDelilah · 14/10/2023 17:10

Lamb (except liver). Goat.
Chili or black pepper in anything
Spinach/kale etc.
Shellfish/prawns
Snotty egg whites - I don't mind runny yolks, but I don't like boiled or poached eggs.
Goat's/ewe's cheese or milk.
There are probably more, I am quite fussy, but I can eat other things I don't like if I really have to (because I was brought up to be polite).

WhatASmashingBlouseYouHaveOn · 14/10/2023 17:11

Skin on gravy or custard 😬

Mushrooms also, remind me of grey slugs.

Iam4eels · 14/10/2023 17:13

Cheese (awful texture and taste)
Cucumber (tastes bitter)
Tomatoes (bitter, fishy and weird texture)
Iceberg lettuce (like eating grass, other lettuces are okay though)
Liver (but liver gravy is alright)
Fish
Olives
Green peppers
Chocolate orange

RedRobin100 · 14/10/2023 17:13

raw tomatoes
Mayonnaise
aubergine
any sort of offal or weird meat product
supermarket sandwiches
the fact that mostly everything is chicken

FiveGoMadInDorset · 14/10/2023 17:14

Olives
Offal

Sexnotgender · 14/10/2023 17:14

Eggs where the white isn’t set, don’t mind a runny yolk though.

WhatWillEyeCallMyself · 14/10/2023 17:14

Rice pudding 🤢

slowlysmaller · 14/10/2023 17:15

I don't like most fish, and seafood is a complete no for me. I cannot understand why anyone would choose to each oysters, for example.

Also absolutely agree that mushrooms look like slugs!

jays · 14/10/2023 17:16

yes! yolk has to be like a ping pong ball… no orange in it, pure yellow or I can’t… 🤮 I just can’t. My worst horror is if I’m making an omelette, the white wiggly bits in the cracked egg … the chalaza apparently, i cannot. I can never, ever, ever! I bought a remover of that bit for 25 quid off Amazon because… 🤮🤮🤮 I can’t!

Chafingthedream · 14/10/2023 17:17

Scotch eggs make me heave 🤢 I HATE seeing them at buffets and have to walk away from anyone who is eating them.

That fish soup with little tiny fish skeletons floating around in it.

JenaWren · 14/10/2023 17:18

Coriander.

It's basically just green soap.

oohsharon · 14/10/2023 17:31

Fish skeleton soup? I have never seen this.

Cottage cheese is just vile as are bananas 🤢

girljulian · 14/10/2023 17:34

Lamb, snotty egg whites, cooked mushrooms (raw is fine!), any sort of cold tomato soup. Creme brulee or blancmange.
