Many, many of you will disagree with mine.

  • runny egg yolk. It turns my stomach watching Four in a Bed when they cut open their poached eggs 🤢 I absolutely love a fried egg with a rock hard yolk though.
  • anything extremely cheesy, like a cheese fondue.
  • a seafood platter.
  • unmelted butter. So I would never have it on sandwiches, for example.
  • pâté

I should be slimmer than I am, but unfortunately my love of cake, crisps and chocolate makes up for the butter and cheese Blush

I love seafood but I can't eat jellied eels or mushrooms. Possibly a big fried mushroom with a steak, but not when they're slimy 🤮

Tripe. Other than that I will give pretty much anything a go, but I am fussy about how things are cooked. I hate the texture of well done meat. Rare steak, lamb, duck etcor I cannot eat it. Eggs must be runny.

Prawns 🍤 yuck 🤮

The snappy bits in mince. Would spit the mouthfull out and push the plate away before I was veggie. My colleague used to deliberately gnaw the cartilage off chicken drumstick ends - total heave fest for me to be near.

Tapioca. Disgusting stuff.

Gammon steak. Any ham steak really, I like my ham thin sliced, in sandwiches.

Coleslaw. Anything doused in mayonnaise is foul but that stuff is the worst.

Oh god yes, the crunch of fatty or gristly bits off meat when you bite them makes me heave (and spit them out).

Swede - the devil's potato. I used to be a chef and doing swede mash for roast dinners used to make me heave.

Parsnips - the devil's carrot. See above. I've tried so many times to make them palatable and nothing helps, even drowning them in butter/honey/herbs is not enough to redeem this abomination of a vegetable.

Overripe bananas and jacket potatoes are just about the only things I cannot eat at all. I physically gag just attempting it 😞

Kale and dark green cabbage. I gag at the thought. Memories of sitting at the dining table for hours after dinner "until you eat that up. Children in Ethiopia would be grateful to have that"

My response of "send it to them, then" apparently was being a smart Alec. 🙄
