Many, many of you will disagree with mine.

  • runny egg yolk. It turns my stomach watching Four in a Bed when they cut open their poached eggs 🤢 I absolutely love a fried egg with a rock hard yolk though.
  • anything extremely cheesy, like a cheese fondue.
  • a seafood platter.
  • unmelted butter. So I would never have it on sandwiches, for example.
  • pâté

I should be slimmer than I am, but unfortunately my love of cake, crisps and chocolate makes up for the butter and cheese Blush

Love a runny yolk though

lolomoon · 14/10/2023 18:14

Ketchup.

Don't have it in the house, never will. The thought of it makes me gag.

Oysterbabe · 14/10/2023 18:14

Celery
Crunchy, piss-flavoured water with hair in it.

AtmosAtmos · 14/10/2023 18:14

Melted cheese
offal

not for the food itself but anchovies- canned I’m likely to cut my finger getting in, jar and oil everywhere.

Greybluewhite · 14/10/2023 18:14

Any seafood 🤮

RosesAndHellebores · 14/10/2023 18:15

Egg snot
Oysters
Tongue
Trotters
Sweetbreads

Fish skeleton soup? I have never seen this.

Cottage cheese is just vile as are bananas 🤢

I KNEW someone would say bananas!

Agree with a good many of these, especially offal and other weird animal derived foodstuffs. Scotch eggs too.

RosesAndHellebores · 14/10/2023 18:15

Oh, and whitebait and squid.

JMSA · 14/10/2023 18:17

I do love mushrooms (cooked) though and tomatoes.

I was preparing some mushrooms for a lasagne the other night, and my 22 year old was simply horrified. 'Eww, it's like the lines on a whale's stomach!'

yarnwitch · 14/10/2023 18:22

I was in Holland and Barrett the other day and saw crisp bag size snack bags of dried mushrooms 🤢
Courgettes turn my stomach and cucumber unless it's sliced.
Blue cheese
Squid/calamari with the visible suckers
Mushy stringy tinned carrots

Sparehair · 14/10/2023 18:26

With you on runny yolks. Eggs have to be solid for me to eat them. Also hate mayonnaise, prob because of the eggs.

Beetroot.

Rare beef- used to be fine with it till my first pregnancy and now I’m a medium- well girl. It’s like a switch tripped.

Theres actually a tonne of stuff I’m not keen on but those are the things I couldn’t eat even to be polite.

Abovemypaygrade · 14/10/2023 18:45

I was brought up that I can politely manage to eat most things even if I didn’t actually like them but I draw the line at these -

Eggs as an actual egg of any cooked type
offal
milk as actual milk as a drink or in a drink / on cereal etc
snails

NotTerfNorCis · 14/10/2023 18:48

Seafood. Liver. Also avoid onions like the plague!

OldTinHat · 14/10/2023 18:49

Stewed whole head of lamb, eye being the delicacy
Insects on a stick
Chicken feet soup, minus nails
Toad as in An Idiot abroad
Dog
Horse
Whale

I like travelling, but I am a fussy eater

I understand that some cultures do not live in range of supermarkets with wide ranges of different types food

lurchermummy · 14/10/2023 19:38

Nothing really - maybe offal or things like pigs head, pigs trotters etc.

PrincessHoneysuckle · 14/10/2023 19:40

Celery
Raw tomatoes
Radish
And most of all baby sweetcorn
