If you met your Dh in your teens

Are you still together? How is life now?
I met Dh at 17, looking back we were just babies, 45 now…interested to see if anyone is in a similar situation.
Did your relationship last?

Met mine at 17. I’m 27 now. Together ten years, married for 5. Two daughters. Very happy.

Yes met DH at 17 - now 37 - been married 17 years in December with 4 kids. More in love than ever if that's possible. There's also a 26 year age gap between us.

Met mine at 15, got together at 16. We are 34 now with two kids. Still happy and in love.

Yep, was 18 when I met him (as was he) at uni. Still together and we’re 43 now. so 25 years! Jaysus.

DH and I were 18 and 19 when we met. Still together nearly 30 years later and very happy.

A lot of luck though - my conviction that we were perfect for each other when we were teens could easily have turned out to be wrong, I didn’t know much about life then - but happened to be totally right!

We met and married at 17. Still together now over 40 years later and I've never regretted a single minute.
I wouldn't swap him for anything.

I was just out of my teens at 20 but we have been together 35 years and married for 32. Life is good and we're happy.

DH and I got together at 19 in Freshers Week. Got married five years later and we are just about to celebrate our 23rd wedding anniversary.

I was 17 when I met DH, he was 20. Just had our 31st wedding anniversary. Had our moments along the way, but still very much a partnership.

Met when I was 18 and he was 25, now 31 and 38. Together for 13 years, married for 7. Have 2 daughters and while life has thrown us some challenges, we are on the whole very happy.

Does anyone regret/feel curious about not having any/many other relationships and sexual partners?
I often if it’s not the greatest thing I’m the world that I’ve never had to be truly independent, never had to live alone for example or face life alone

Likewise, we met in the first year of uni and got together in the first summer hols.
We're 62 so that's ... bloody hell, 44 years!

I was 19 (he was 21). 13 years married, moved around the world together, two children. 37 and 39 now.

We met at 12, together at 18, married early 20s. Still happily married in our mid 30s. Many ups and downs together as a couple/family but I feel very lucky to have him.

Met mine at 19, DP was just 21. Currently in our 9th year.

Not married but it's not a huge deal to either of us, we know we're in it for the long haul.

3rd (and last) child on the way!

I've often wondered what it would be like. Not wanting to or unhappy with where I am or my choices, just....I've only had one partner (DH), which seems odd these day.
I'm not changing him yet. He's trained

I was 19, he was 25. Well over 40 years married now. It could have been a disaster but as much by luck as judgement it's been great!

I met him at 18, but we didn’t date briefly until 21 and we didn’t actually get together permanently until 30.

we were friends throughout, but I needed time both to prioritize my education and career and to make some bad life choices.

I was 19, DH mid twenties. 28 yrs together. Happy as pigs in shit Grin

We emigrated 15 yrs ago, so had a few adventures along the way, and not finished yet

It's been a bit sad to watch most of our friends divorce though.

I'd just turned 20 when I met DH, he was still 19 (both at uni).

Am still very happy now at nearly 36 and 2 DC later.
