Enjoyed watching the documentary, he was different than I expected him to be, not sure how really, but I have more respect for Victoria now as I think their lives have been about what he wanted/needed mainly
There are rumours of lots of affairs, is this true though as I find that hard to believe, he seemed so obsessed with her

They brought it up because they know (or their production team know) that it would make the series more talked about and grab headlines.

Fraudornot · 22/10/2023 21:13

And there rests what’s entirely wrong with them - no need for more money but willing to bring up something that will bring pain to others, particularly their children. Absolute low life in my opinion and what a way to live your life.

RosiePeel · 22/10/2023 22:51

I totally agree. The thing is I never minded them before but my opinion of him now is that he is a total scumbag. I had no idea about all the alleged affairs!

Tatslookawful · 22/10/2023 23:20

Why did they do the doc? What was the reasoning behind it?

To make even more money. Unfortunately, the documentary seems to have opened up discussions about how they are both motivated by pure greed and no amount of money is enough for them.

Tatslookawful · 22/10/2023 23:45

@Tambatamba they came across well & re: DB, many are too young to realise what he endured post world cup. How much money were they paid? Was it really their only reason.

Tambatamba · 22/10/2023 23:47

Of course they came across well - that’s the whole point. They certainly are good at marketing themselves.

PokeyLaFarge · 23/10/2023 00:02

Tambatamba · 17/10/2023 20:36

and they’re born, not created.

The William’s father agrees. He decided they were going to play tennis before they could walk! Again very hard and continuous work paid off.

Yes but for every Serena Williams, there are countless children and then adults who were forced into tennis or whatever else by their parent and the parent guilts them into moving abroad etc. and they don't turn out to ever be world class players. But one thing's for sure - they never knew what they really wanted to do and that's sad.

Andre Aggassis biography is a real eye opener on this issue

Ramalangadingdong · 23/10/2023 06:33

One of the things that gets to me is that DB must have started the affair with RL as soon as she started working for him. She Got the job as his PA and was sacked a few months after - presumably because of the affair. This suggests that DB has form. This wasn’t a slow burning romance. This is a man who is used to getting what he wants when he wants it. We’ve all been to clubs and seen how girls are all over slebs handing them their numbers etc.

I've seen some uncomfortable things written about David and his time in Macau.

Then shouldn’t you have the courage to link to them instead of hiding behind a post that could be open to all sorts of suggestion.

Pumpkinoutfitsgalore · 23/10/2023 09:26

@NC543210 What sort of things?

OP posts:
LunaNorth · 23/10/2023 09:48

I’ve just googled. Very unpleasant, but I doubt it’s true.

Tambatamba · 23/10/2023 09:50

There are countless stories about his affairs. Harper had to change schools because he allegedly got her teacher pregnant.

NC543210 · 23/10/2023 10:26

@ForfarBridie it is nothing to do with courage. This an Internet forum not a court of law.

I couldn't find the link and didn't have the time to search for it. Was on twitter quite a few years ago.

Then why not just say?

As you say it’s MN. Not a court of law.

What is there to fear?

Unless you know it’s nonsense but you thought you’d just throw it into the ring anyway.

NC543210 · 23/10/2023 10:57

@ForfarBridie

How would I know if it is nonsense or not?
Only one person who knows that.

Who knows.
Regardless, it is an uncomfortable read, no matter who it is.

Have a word with yourself.

Pumpkinoutfitsgalore · 23/10/2023 14:09

I know someone who worked with David Beckham only had nice things to say about him - what you see, how is presents himself on tv is the same as how is in real life. Friendly, low key and easy going. I also know someone who has met the children and they said they were amazed about how lovely and polite they all were.

It’s you who’s posted tittle tattle about someone and not had the courage to own it.

A blind gossip article says that he had an “affair“ with an underage girl for a few years on and off in Macau

I assume that’s what everyone is talking about

Eta: clearly it’s not an affair if it’s an abuse of power and she’s underage

Tambatamba · 24/10/2023 05:58

I wasn't aware that DB had hair transplants. Everything is definitely a doctored presentation in that documentary.

They represent everything I dislike about society. Despite sending their children to an expensive school, all they encouraged them to do is be part of the talentless celeb industry, to use for their own attention. They use more talented people for their own attention. Such as when Elton John liked David, they asked him to be godfather to their son as know Elton will always be famous, long after Victoria's solo autotuned songs are forgotten. While David's sister has to sell her children's clothes on facebook marketplace, and her son was saying he hardly sees David. They sent their son on the same photography course as Guy Ritche's son to use him to get their son famous, but Ritchie film David was in flopped, and the son didn't finish the course.
They always seem so desperate for attention it hurts and it gives me the creeps. All people can say who defend them who are probably their promoters, are they're nice. So are lots of other people, but they don't pay millions to promoters to constantly force themselves in our faces.
They also seem like narcissists, as when Victoria was on a chat show, she said that she thinks her and David will always be famous. For what? For being the only Spice Girl without solo singing parts, and the worst ever England captain?
England men aren't ever going to win anything until they get away from David's influence, with using the game for a Kard' type celeb career than winning anything.
When people went on about the three lions recently missing the penalty, strange how no media reminds people of when David was the only one to miss a penalty in the Euros, getting England kicked out. Then he acted all arrogant in the interview after when asked about it.
Then his emails were hacked, where he was saying he felt entitled to a Knighthood for hanging around Prince William at charity events.

I think there's something strange behind their constant promotion more than they're worth. I know that the talentless celeb industry is used to dumb down society, and maybe the people that are used to do that are rewarded by promotion more than they're worth.

If you say that you don't like the whole celeb culture which tells you to see tacky looking orange wags and tattooed necked footballers as the ultimate in class and style, the zombified masses get all angry and confused others don't think how their celeb magazines tell them, and say you must be jealous because they're rich. Even if they're a dumb magazine interview selling their children into the celeb industry from bankruptcy. If they're so rich and don't need to use their children for their own money and attention, then that means they do it as think it's a good idea.

I thought they massively skirted over the whole affair thing. They talked around how awful it was and the relentless pressure they were under but were very careful to neither confirm or deny it ever happened which suggests to me that it did!

I saw RL interviewed about the documentary. She kept going on about how bad it was that they were blaming her and that he wasn’t being truthful in the documentary. Made me laugh as like you said they only vaguely touched on it and her name was not mentioned.
