To tell my cat he is insane

Hi

I'm sweltering in 30 degrees , inside is cooler at 24 with blinds drawn

One of my cats is inside with me, the other an ex stray tomcat, black, is refusing to come inside apart from trips in for food or use his litter tray , he is resolutely sitting under a parasol in garden on a chair

Aibu to think I should coax him in and shut the door to garden?

My semi feral long haired lunatic is sprawled on a bench out back. I'm hoping he'll come in when we go out as he likes an empty house sometimes. He's happy tho.

He sounds perfectly normal (for a cat). One of ours is on a garden chair under a tree, another sleeping in the shrubs. I'm just jealous!

He is a lunatic, I'm glad others have cats who are doing the same, in winter he clings to his heated bed so I suppose he is just warm blooded. But a big thick coat of black fur he must be hot !

Classic cat behaviour. Find the weirdest location and sleep in it. One of mine likes to sleep on top of the toaster.

Bonkers ! I have just served mine some chilled cat gourmet pate , he ate it but when I went to door thinking of shutting it to keep him in he legged it back.outside !

YABU to expect him to pay you any attention. .doubt he can even hear you.. I've drawn the blinds and set up the air con in living room.. my white fluffy nutter 🐈 is sprawled on my bed which is in direct sunlight.... fool 🐈

One of mine is lounging in my conservatory - even with the doors open, it's hot as hell. Absolutely bonkers. They are from the Middle East originally though, so fairly used to the heat.

I rarely see my cat when it's hot! I try keeping him home but he's agitated and wants out, and that's if the bugger decides to come home in the first place for me to keep him in 😬
Although my house is 30 degrees inside so expect its not any cooler for him than the shade!

This is mine, very fluffy, long haired curled up between the suede curtain and liner by the window. As you can see her arse is glowing so the sun is beating down on her.

My two black lemons are currently staked out on the dug over earth in the garden (minus the stakes.... Or even steaks). In full sun. They'll slink off to the shade when their solar panels are full.

I sleep on my side. Woke up 4am this morning, thought I was having having a hot flush de luxe. No. My oldest was on the bed, stretched full length back to back with me. If I was her, I would be trying to work out how to open the fridge to sleep in the salad crisper.

Thank you , realise I am not alone so will leave my nutter to be outside if he wants ! But am going to put a chilled bowl of water next to him!

If I was in a fur coat I would be in fridge too!

Agree with PP my boy still likes to sleep touching head to tail at night even in this weather and I don't have air con! London!
