The guy I am seeing was telling me he won’t see me tonight and will be going out drinking unless ‘I give him a good enough reason to stay in’. With a wink emoji. This has annoyed me. Aibu?

pippinsleftleg · 12/08/2023 13:38

YANBU that would put me off him completely.

GoodVibesHere · 12/08/2023 13:38

Yeh it's a bit juvenile. If he's trying to be funny then it's crappy schoolboy behaviour.

Alternatively, he was being perfectly serious, which is also extremely off-putting.

staceyflack · 12/08/2023 13:39

Yuk 🤮

Checkcurtains · 12/08/2023 13:40

I'd just see it as playful flirting. But if it puts you off maybe his sense of humour isn't for you

irrationallypink · 12/08/2023 13:41

Id not speak to him again if it were me

Hungryfrogs23 · 12/08/2023 13:41

It might be a clumsy attempt at flirting but really the message he is sending you is that your company isn't worth staying in for but getting his end away is 🙄 how utterly charming.

Lolololololl · 12/08/2023 13:43

@Hungryfrogs23 yeah that’s how I read it.

I think he’s being serious as we didn’t actually plan to meet tonight but says he will if I give him enough reason to stay in

WandaWonder · 12/08/2023 13:44

I would have taken it as a joke and replied I am washing my hair, one of those things that I felt if I thought it was serious I would constantly find things I could find wrong with every one

Lolololololl · 12/08/2023 13:45

Now he’s saying he definitely be going out tonight but I ‘can come and give it to him before he goes out’

SternJosie · 12/08/2023 13:45

I think it totally depends on your relationship.

If you're two months in and in a passionate, ripping each others clothes off stage...meh. It's not exactly sophisticated but seems to fit iyswim?

If you've been on 3 dates and haven't slept together yet...boak.

Dacadactyl · 12/08/2023 13:46

Oh God no, wouldn't be for me at all.

CantThinkOfANameAtAll · 12/08/2023 13:46

I agree with hungryfrog.

Your company or personality is not worth anything. Your ability to be a sex receptacle is everything.

Ditch the disrespectful twat.

Now he’s saying he definitely be going out tonight but I ‘can come and give it to him before he goes out’

How frightfully generous of him.

This kind of "sexy" banter is not for me. I'm sure it works on some but if you're not one of them it's a major passion killer.

MumUndone · 12/08/2023 13:47

If he's 17 and trying to flirt then...

Starshiptroopee · 12/08/2023 13:47

I would just see it as a joke.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 12/08/2023 13:48

Ewwwwwwww. Get rid.

Lolololololl · 12/08/2023 13:49

@MumUndone we are both 25😂

TregunaMekoides · 12/08/2023 13:51

Reading it again and imagining it was someone saying it to me, I can almost hear the MS Windows shut down chimes from my vagina as it practically folds in on itself.
Does this kind of flirting actually work anyone?

poetryandwine · 12/08/2023 13:54

I would reply that I need to wash my hair. If I had or wanted my own plans afterwards I would also mention them

Inmymotherhoodera · 12/08/2023 13:55

@TregunaMekoides “I can almost hear the MS windows shut down chimes” - I am DYING!

He seriously said that?! Yuck.

billy1966 · 12/08/2023 13:59

He really doesn't care about your opinion of him, does he?

🤮

5128gap · 12/08/2023 14:03

He's saying he'd forego his night out to stay in and have sex with you.
If he's serious, well I'm sure he's not the only person who'd put sex ahead of a night drinking with their mates, especially in a new relationship.
If its a joke, so he's not Oscar Wilde. But presumably you've met him, so know this already.

squidgem · 12/08/2023 14:06

Ewwww that would really give me the ick.

Busubaba · 12/08/2023 14:21

You run the risk of him having his end away and then rolling over and going out with his mates as you will have served your purpose.

He's not that bothered about you as a person, just what's between your legs.
