The guy I am seeing was telling me he won’t see me tonight and will be going out drinking unless ‘I give him a good enough reason to stay in’. With a wink emoji. This has annoyed me. Aibu?

‘Nah, you’re alright. I’ve made other plans 😁’

And then mute him for a few days. Or better still, don’t bother and just block and delete.

I would pretend I've misunderstood
"Awww, its lovely you'd rather cancel your night out and take me somewhere nice but I've made plans now. Hope you haven't spent too much on whatever it is your planning on giving me, (do l need to book time off work, l have to get my holidays in quick) can't believe my luck meeting someone as thoughtful and caring as you"

I am cringing for you if you think this is a clever reply.

FuckertyFuckFuckfuckery · 12/08/2023 15:23

Just ignore him
No reaction at all
Then go out yourself and find somebody nicer who's not a twat

mimoo1 · 12/08/2023 15:23

Urg he just sounds a bit childish and cringy 🙈🙈

xyz111 · 12/08/2023 15:25

He sounds like a keeper!!!!

Sugargliderwombat · 12/08/2023 15:26

Urgh. Get rid of this idiot.

mistermagpie · 12/08/2023 15:28

Yuck, this wouldn't do it for me at all.

When I was about 25 I had a 'boyfriend' who was a bit like this though. I didn't have much self worth at the time and so would go over and have sex with him in the hope that he would magically fall in love with me and stop being a twat. But what would happen was that we would have sex and then he would make an excuse to leave so he could go out with his mates. It didn't feel good, let me tell you.

Don't go out with a guy like this, he doesn't respect you and is just hoping you don't respect yourself either.

Laurdo · 12/08/2023 15:31

I would reply "give what to you? Did you leave something here?"

Then when he has to explain what he means just reply "oh, no thanks".

MoveOnTheCards · 12/08/2023 15:35

Nob.

Cowlover89 · 12/08/2023 15:39

YANBU X

Busubaba · 12/08/2023 15:40

'Come and give it to him!'?

I think I would turn up, ring the bell and smash a custard pie in his face when he answers the door with his trousers around his ankles.

Or hire a thirty stone dominatrix and send her round to sort the little worm out.

You can do so much better.

Busubaba · 12/08/2023 15:41

Now you know he's out tonight you can go round his house and spray weedkiller in huge letters on his lawn that spell out CUNT.

travelogue · 12/08/2023 15:43

God! Tell him you can't see him anyway as you are busy washing your hair! CF.

OneSugar1 · 12/08/2023 15:54

“No thanks, had a better offer ☺️”
then block

thecatinthetwat · 12/08/2023 15:55

no no no

NaughtyBoyGeorgeMichaelJacksonBrown · 12/08/2023 15:58

@mistermagpie Urgh, same here - never again!

I can't believe he isn't even offering to come to you - you have to go to him like some x-rated Deliveroooo. Gross. And yes to pp, he will still go out without you after 2 pumps and squirt.

If you aren't ready to bin him off completely (you know you should, but it's not always easy), at least block or mute him tonight or you might be bombarded with seductive 'U Up?🍆🍆' texts and call around 2am.

BravoMyDear · 12/08/2023 15:58

Lolololololl · 12/08/2023 13:45

Now he’s saying he definitely be going out tonight but I ‘can come and give it to him before he goes out’

🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮

rwalker · 12/08/2023 16:01

Basically he’ll stay in for a shag

If You fancy a shag yes if not tell him to go out with his mates No drama

unsync · 12/08/2023 16:02

He's not a keeper is he?

aSofaNearYou · 12/08/2023 16:02

Tbh given you weren't planning on meeting up (in which case this would be really shitty), this does sound like flirting to me. I don't think there's much harm in it, though it is taking me back to my years of dating young men and making me very grateful they are over!

wizzler · 12/08/2023 16:04

Sounds like his teenage brother has got hold of his phone.. if not ... ltb

Christmasbird · 12/08/2023 16:05

Cringe. In the bin

Christmasbird · 12/08/2023 16:05

Cringe. In the bin

GG1986 · 12/08/2023 16:05

Eww so off putting.

MolkosTeenageAngst · 12/08/2023 16:07

Yuck. So basically all he wants from you is sex. Unless that is all you want too and you’re happy that he doesn’t see you as anything more than someone he can sleep with that would put me right off.
