My son just called me mummy

He’s 5. He’s non verbal with Autism and has not shown any real inclination to talk.

This last 2/3 weeks he’s started ‘demanding’ food which is brilliant, but tiday he saw me and shouted ‘mummy!’.

I can’t believe it. I could cry ❤️

Oh this is lovely.
My DD ( now in late 30s) was non verbal until she was 5.
She had speech therapy and all of a sudden it all came out.
Now she won't shut up - but I love it!

I post a fair amount of crap to be fair @Yellowlegobrick but the feeling of hearing it so clearly and not wondering if that’s what he said is phenomenal.
