To wonder if Labour actually will be any better?

Baabaagreysheep · 30/06/2023 13:35

I think like most people I am keen to see the back of the current bunch, but I am not confident that anything will massively change for the better. Maybe that’s a bit pessimistic, but I feel that while some things will improve some will get worse - and some sort of at the same time, so I’m expecting my salary to go up but also my workload to go up!

Thinking back to when Labour were last in power it was another world, really. Interested in views.

you Know perfectly well what I’m getting at. You would never have said he has “nothing to stay for” if he were white. He was brought up here, his family are here, his children are educated here. I don’t know what more has to be done to convince people like you that he is as tied to this country as anyone, and his ethnicity doesn’t alter that.

See you came up with all of that, not me. If he never had any intention of returning to the US why did he retain his Green Card.

Deeply unsavoury is right.

Ah, the conspiracists as well as the racists are out. Great day on mumsnet.

Feeble. Just get the offensive post deleted. It makes you look awful.

His ethnicity is a distraction.

I wouldn’t be surprised in the slightest if Rishi relocated after his political career, much like Boris, I don’t think either have any particular loyalties to anything other than where they can access unadulterated admiration and line their pockets.

Boris has relocated his political career? News to me. Again, I can see no reason why Sunak would do same; unless for some reason we’re committed to the idea that he’s not really tied to this country.

Disingenuous in the extreme. They exist to have a go at trans people, which you know and presumably approve of.

Ah, the conspiracists as well as the racists are out. Great day on mumsnet.

It’s as much conspiracy as Boris’s giving his security services the slip to go partying with the Lebedevs. Nadine literally spoke out live on sky news to warn ministers that they needed to keep in line for the donors.

I can’t be arsed to look through your posts, but anyone who has ever speculated that the media is controlling a narrative or shouted propaganda or talked about being forced into a narrative is also a conspiracy theorist fyi.

Which one? The Facebook one?

That’s nothing like what comes up for me.

Maybe try googling Nadine Dorries donor warning. That’s all I searched to
find that one.

The statement was made that Sunak has “no reason to stay.” That’s a big leap from simple possession of a green card, which of course he has a result of his previous career - a leap that wouldn’t have been made if he were white.

He has made at least 10 trips outside the UK in the last year, spending about 70 days out of the country, including when parliament has been sitting, and leading to calls for him to spend more time representing his constituents in the Commons

may as well have given the amount of time he spent out of the country whilst receiving an MP’s wage.

Confirmation of ex-PM resigning Uxbridge and South Ruislip seat follows period of frequent overseas trips and Commons’ absences

None of that establishes that Boris is relocating his political career (Boris, as always, is going where there’s a fool who can be parted from his money.) oh wait though, Boris is a bit foreign too isn’t he? Oh well of course he’s going to leg it then 🙄
