To love drinking milk as an adult

It’s bloody lovely

cannot be beaten as far as I’m concerned and I drinks pints of the stuff

my friends all find it weird and infantile

who is BU?

I always enjoyed milk as a kid and still do as an adult. I really like a glass of super cold milk when hungover for some reasons!!

I voted YANBU because it sounds like you really enjoy it and it’s more nutritious than a lot of other drinks. Personally, I find milk coats my throat to the point it’s not pleasant to drink. I think a lot of adults find this to be the case. I think you’re in the minority if milk doesn’t make you phlegmy as an adult. But you’re not unreasonable, I’m envious that you can enjoy it.

I get through six pints a week and buy my own full fat because the rest of the house stick to semi skimmed. Worlds for me because I always have supplies. You’re only unreasonable in thinking that there is something unreasonable in this

Its fine if you have the mutation that means you can still digest it - most adults lose the ability to digest milk

Well, the milk industry is really fucking weird if you ask me, but you can't help what you like.
Good luck though, I turned 35 and suddenly became lactose intolerant, which is actually not that uncommon.
I miss cheese but not drinking milk.

I love milk, it's my go to drink every time. This week alone I have drunk 8 pints.
Everyone I know thinks I'm very weird.

sadly milk doesn't agree with me anymore. but used to like a (small) glass of very cold milk after a run.
but only summer milk.
winter milk from cows fed silage Envy

Oh you're not alone, it's all I drink, all I ever drink really apart from water. It is very refreshing. It's like my dirty secret though because everyone already thinks I'm an oddity, so I think if I said I drink milk almost exclusively then that would be the final straw lol!

Couldn't think of anything worse. We didn't have a fridge for several years when I was growing up (freezer section of fridge-freezer worked) so milk was either frozen or off. Neither were drinkable. Struggle with drinking milk at all even now.

My DD drinks full fat milk now and every time I pour her some I have a bit first 😂

I Love cold semi skimmed! I recently bought some strawberry Crusha! 🍓 I also recently got a Stanley cup which keeps drinks cold for an entire day so I always have cold milk in it 🥛

I also love milk! I have a glass before bed every night. I don't care if people think it's childish. I enjoy it and look forward to my evening watching some TV with my milk and a couple of biscuits 🤣

A pp said they like to drink it hungover, I also do this too!! Gives some lining to your stomach, is cool and refreshing as well as nutritious and rehydrating.

Why is it weird?! Somebody liking something you don't like is weird?

OP - My 79yr old Mum drinks a glass or 2 of cold milk every day! So you're not weird at all. In fact my mum is the fittest, healthiest person I know with the stamina of which I've never seen in anyone
