Elf Bar witchcraft

I've name changed before posting this but have been here a good while.

I am a smoker...a heavy smoker. Over the past year I've been getting crosser and crosser with wasting so much money. I started to see disposable vapes in all the shops and noticed how much cheaper they are.

Over the years I have tried to stop smoking a few times and have tried lots of alternatives including vapes (last time was 5 years ago)

On Saturday I bought an elf bar on a whim, just to see what they were like. For the rest of the day I smoked miles less than I would have normally done

Yesterday, I smoked 10 fags (or there abouts) to my normal 30ish. This is with drink and a smoking DH.

Today I have had 5 and am choosing the elf bar as default.

This is witchcraft isn't it??

I realise there are many potential risks with a vape (the reason I have always said I won't vape) however I'm sick to the back teeth of smoking and everything to do with it...yet I can't stop. This contraption has, so far, had the same effect, completely by accident. I haven't made a decision to quit smoking (if I tell myself I'm not allowed to smoke I will immediately smoke 20 fags as that's how my brain works lol) but I cannot believe how effective these things have been!! I have cigarettes on the side yet I've just gone to the vape instead.

Has anyone else had this? If you have what are your tips and recommendations for flavours to help me swap out the fags for good!

Why don't u buy a vape pen and buy the ELFLIQ it's much cheaper

I got a Juul2 device to cut down because, like you the cost was getting on my tits. I cut down and after a year stopped altogether. I love the juul2, connects to my phone so i can make it beep when i loose it. I have two devices so i can alternate when ones charging and i get my pods on prescription as is cheaper than elf bars. I would like to bin it off eventually as it feel like it permanently attached to me

Just had a look and you are right. I could buy a vape pen but I do have a Voopoo Argus vaper and I suppose the elf bar ejuice will go in it?

I was a very heavy smoker, a friend got me a refillable vape and liquids ( he works in a warehouse that dispatches them)
Not convinced and smoking my last cig I charged and filled the vape....and have not smoked since (2.5 years)

I've put disposable vapes in the battery recycling bins at the supermarket. Are you not supposed to do that? Pretty sure it says not to put them in the bin so not sure what else to do with them.

If you like red bull. The energy ice tastes just like it. Don't bother with cherry cola or ginger cola both taste a bit meh, but the cola ice is nice though. Cotton candy is quite nice although I'm still trying to decide whether or not it actually tastes of candy floss. I only tend to get them if the last pod in my e-cig is burning but the new ones haven't being delivered. Elf bar have now started doing liquids now as well. I know the esso garage does them 3 for a tenner so it does work out more cheaper that way but obviously you'd need a proper e-cig. Poundland also do some lovely flavours. Vape 88 is the brand Cocktail ice is amazing, the cotton candy ice is also really nice as is the cherry coola and they're only a quid a bottle. The downside to the cocktail ice is, is it's mega moreish and addictive

@Trinity65 yeah you can. I have the Voopoo Vmate E and I use the Elfiq liquids in mine. The 88 vape is another one that I use but only certain flavours cos u like that ice hit with mine

I'm glad it's working for you. I found when I started vaping I smoked more cigarettes the vape just wasn't the same.
I give up vaping now cause there is no point if I'm still going to smoke anyway.

My favourite vapes was strawberry kiwi and bubblegum

I will be forever thankful to vaping. Got me off the ciggies once and for all four years ago and it was so, so easy! The smell of cigarettes disgusts me now and I can honestly say I haven't been tempted to smoke since. I would urge anyone who smokes tobacco to make the switch.

Now someone will be along to say we're all still killing ourselves, big stinking clouds of 'smoke', you think you look cool but you look like a tosses, blah blah blah. To them, I say fuck off. We are non smokers! We quit! We are finally free of cigarettes, we are saving money and it feels fucking great!

A massive shout out to all you quitters, you are all flamin' fantastic and you know what? Even if we are still killing ourselves, we're doing it for a damn sight less than it used to cost!

Elf bars have me hooked. I got the pods, they last longer because I was easily getting through a disposable in a day. I very rarely smoke but before I was pregnant/breastfeeding I was constantly on the vape. There’s something in it that’s so addictive.

Obviously I know there’s nicotine in it, but it seems like there’s something more. I think it’s all the flavours but even then I don’t get the same thing with regular vape oils.

I quit smoking and now addicted to elf bars.
My favourite is strawberry and banana. Or blueberry and sour raspberry lost Mary vape.

Vapes are an environmental menace. We (litter-picking) have not been able to find any way of recycling them.

I can’t smoke a cig now after vaping. The smell makes me sick! I love that vapes give the effect with no horrid smells to stick around.

I like the elux ones and you can order 3500 puffs online and they last about a week at a time for me. I order from Avalanche Vapes website! They’re obviously bigger but much more cost effective at £8.99. Strawberry Peach Lemon is my favourite flavour

Well done OP, I used to like Elf Bar and Lost Mary but after a bit I got sick of them I felt they were far too sweet and eventually I felt like I had a film of sugar on my teeth after I'd vaped it. I use Vuse epod and I only use Blueberry ice flavour, occassionakly I will have a tobacco flavour (normally if I have a drink)
There are Vuse disposables but works out cheaper with the pods in the epod device

Get a device like the Vaperesso. Much cheaper and environmentally better.

Well done!! I quit 7 years ago with vaping. I know it's hard at times but honestly I couldn't ever smoke again now.

OP go to home bargains. They do packs of 2 (not elf bar but other disposables) for £6.99

Yep they are shocking we got rid.of things like plastic straws and now have plastic cigs with batteries in them.

I quit using an elf at, then the rechargeable elf bar with pods and now use a voo poo drag q. It is a fillable tank (top filling) there is a button BUT if you don't press it it drags just like an elfbar I use nic salts and after initial out lay it's again even cheaper! And much better than throwing pods and batteries away!

I quit smoking using a vape alongside patches. Dropped the patch after the 12 week course then dropped the vape after about 6 months and had 1mg lozenges for emergency cravings. Only bought 2 packs of those and just buy smints now.

You're not wrong here. I quit with a normal tank/vape, never went down the disposable route.

I wish we could have had a choice, plastic (aka decent actually usable after 2 minute) straws or disposable vapes 🤣

Cannot remember who mentioned the Banana pods but mine just arrived and it is indeed very tasty.
