i moved in October to maisonette with my 6yo .

below us lives woman with 10 dogs . these dogs are never walked and always inside her 2 bedroom house .

obviously barking is constant. day and night . our life is hell . sleep deprivation is form of torture and it's not fair on dogs to always sit indoors too.

i reported this to RSPCA , council , landlords however nothing is done .

is my only option to move now ? is it animal cruelty to keep 10 dogs inside and never walk them ?

can anyone give me advice i'm desperate now , my child is disabled and she can't sleep at night begging me to stop barking .

smell is unbearable too , it comes up to our house from downstairs

any advice would be greatly appreciated

thank you

Hi OP, you want to check your personal messages by going to the top right of the too of the screen, you should have some notifications up there (PMs appear in a slightly different place from thread notifications so you should have a second number near the read one I have). This isn't on the App though, so it might not help if you use that.

i managed that ! turns out i can use Face Id to log into website

thank you for educating me ! Wink

Address your complaints to the CEO of your housing association.

Contact your local paper - it's a terrible situation and the council needs to do something.

If you are nice, you could let them know you are contacting the media first to give them a bit of a warning. Say that it's breaking your heart (it is) and that no one is listening and you are desperate.

Well, it's now in the mass circulation Daily Mail so maybe the poor OP can capitalise on that

My neighbour has TEN DOGS which she NEVER walks

Taking to UK parenting site Mumsnet, the mother explained that she and her six-year-old recently moved to a maisonette. But seeing how the pets are treated, she fears that they're subject to cruelty.

Those poor dogs :( Also, RSPCA are beyond useless, they wouldn't do anything to stop cruelty if it were happening on their doorstep. Have you tried contacting local rescues, posting on animal welfare and dog loving fb groups? Sometimes with enough people involved the community can rally around and force her to do something out of fear of being ostracised. As someone who is passionate about animal welfare I can certainly say like minded people would get involved.Scrolling mums net during a meeting and just realised that I am very late to the game here, hopefully the situation was sorted, for both yourself and those poor animals.

Edited

i found a swap , moving in few weeks .

I tried EVERYTHING. RSPCA , council , even MP and nothing changed . These poor dogs were stuck in heatwave , they never out , they howl and cry and NO ONE cares .

One dog sounds like he is dying , and no one helps .

Summer was awful as all fumes of dogs faeces were coming up to my place , last year was hell .

And unfortunately no one cares , i reported about a week ago to RSPCA and they didn't even want to take her details . No one cares , unbelievable

But maybe smth will change as Clarion ( my HA ) called me to let me know they are taking this woman to court

oh god, that's just horrible. Do you mind sending me a PM with the area you live in and any details you can give me? I'll post on some FB groups, see if someone can do something to help those animals.
