Compatible in most ways but they admitted from the beginning they cross dressed. Would you?

The one I find weirdest is when a man and women date but the man identifies as a lesbian and the woman as a gay bloke. It's just a heterosexual relationship for all intents and purposes.

Me too.
I mean I don't care as such, but I don't want to play along with their make believe games.

pollymere · 07/06/2023 12:48

There is so much ignorance here 😂 A trans lesbian wouldn't date a trans gay guy for a start - they are attracted to the same sex not the opposite one. So a trans gay guy (someone who was assigned female at birth) would date a guy. A trans straight man would date a woman. That doesn't make them a lesbian because they're a man... If a trans man and a trans woman have sex, the man would be thinking like a man and the woman thinking like a woman 🤭 (please don't ask for clarification on that!)

And you know what? I wouldn't care if my man cross-dressed or was a drag queen. I'm sure you wear trousers and t-shirts. As long as it wasn't a symptom of him being in trans-denial and he's lovely, why wouldn't I want to be proud of him? You don't need to find it sexy. Finding a lab coat sexy is all well and good but actually having someone in a lab coat really isn't when it's covered in Ecoli 😂. I'm sure people don't find fishing gear that sexy either but plenty of partners go fishing.

It was great he felt he could tell you and really sad that you decided he was a pervert and blocked him. Even if you are not strong enough as a person to get past it, it would have been classy to have admitted that and apologized. Even if it did sound like "it's not you, it's me" (which is true) - you owed him that.

I have, I think?

He had no issues with his sexuality etc, wore nail varnish but not make up, dyed his hair different colours.
Wore dresses occasionally. He'd worn his mums dresses and sisters from being a little lad and felt if he liked how it looked aesthetically, nobody else's business.
For him it wasn't something he'd do privately such as wearing women's underwear with heels etc, it was simply if he liked the look of something, he felt comfortable enough to wear it.

I wear mens clothes but I'm very feminine, but love baggy hoodies and jumpers, so I like men's fit.
I don't think I'm a cross dresser though, but maybe I am 👀

I would put you down as a cross-dressed 😂 It's just far more acceptable if you're a woman. I'm sure it's not part of some weird sexual fetish and more that you like comfort and decent pockets.

Although there are many who say dressing like this is non-binary and the first step to realising you're actually a trans man...

I'm sorry, but I really have to ask for clarification of this whole paragraph.

Me, too. I have no idea who anyone in this scenario is.

How do you think like a man?
How do you think like a woman?
What's the difference between the two? What exactly does it entail?
If a woman accidentally starts thinking like a man, is she trans?

HaveWeGotAnyCake · 07/06/2023 13:14

No.

Me either.
I thought with trans you had to accept the gender or you are a sexual racist?
Or is that only directed at female lesbians?
I'll stick with single unless its Harry Styles easier all round.

Ok.

  1. A lesbian wouldn't date a homosexual. It doesn't matter if they're trans or not. This is in response to someone suggesting they would sleep together.
  2. A straight man would date a straight woman. It doesn't matter if they're trans or not.
  3. When men and women have sex, the man tends to be penile-centric and interested in boobs, vaginas and bums. The woman tends to be interested in having said penis in vagina, not putting a penis anywhere in someone. It doesn't matter if they're trans or not.
  1. Transgender means that someone feels they were born in the wrong body. There are plenty of people who wear clothes associated with the opposite gender without being trans, and people who have hobbies or jobs that would stereotypically be associated with the opposite gender. This doesn't make them trans.

There is a huge difference between someone assigned male at birth who identifies as female and someone who doesn't see clothing as gendered or someone who clearly is dependent on fantasy sexually. Suggesting that all transgender people are perverts is as bad as saying all Chinese people look the same or that all women love children.

Bouledeneige · 07/06/2023 13:28

Yes it is really confusing!

A lesbian trans woman (biologically a male) would be attracted to:
A) another trans woman (two biological males who in the past would be defined as homosexual)
B) a biological lesbian woman (in the past this would be biologically a heterosexual relationship which the biological lesbian woman might very well not be attracted to as she is attracted to other biological women).

However if a trans woman was not a lesbian they would be attracted to men. Again a biologically homosexual attraction. A gay male might be interested but a heterosexual male might not return the attraction if they are attracted to biological women.

This sort of illustrates why it may be hard for trans women to find a partner unless they can persuade everyone that their natural attraction is unfair, unkind or not allowed so that their preferences take precedence over other peoples. But since you state that a trans man and a trans woman would not be attracted to each other then that infers that everyone is allowed to have their own preferences and no one person's overrides another's.

It does make a nonsense of changing all these labels -it's so confusing. I still can't work out how a biological male in a dress and make up thinks female or lesbian whilst deploying a penis during sex.

I do love a decent sized pocket, I cannot lie! 😂😂
I have loads of lads and it always irritated me when I'd get them baby clothes with pockets. Wtf does my 3 month old baby need pockets for? His wallet? His keys? Phone? And here's me with a fiver and my keys stashed in my bra if I ever wanted a dress on! 😂

But in your original post, you talked about same sex attraction. Which is what being gay is.

Finalstar · 07/06/2023 14:23

There is a world of difference between a bloke in a kilt, and a bloke who decides he wants to wear full dress, heels, makeup etc.

Wear what you want, but equally you can't expect every person to find you attractive. I'm not attracted to men with extreme piercings, facial tattoos or ear tunnels.

I am so tired of being told that innate human attraction is discriminatory. You fancy who you fancy.

Princessconsuelabananahammock9 · 07/06/2023 18:39

My partner is a transman. He is too butch for most lesbians, and not butch enough for straight women.

He has had top surgery. He passes 100% as a man. He also has a vagina. He's a niche market as he says. I am attracted to the person not the sex parts. I didn't know pansexual was a thing before him but it fits. He's not a biological man but he looks like one. We have lesbian sex though. Me identifying as pansexual isn't me trying to be special. It's me acknowledging that trans, male, female, none of that matters for my sexual attraction.

nilsmousehammer · 07/06/2023 20:12

I honestly don't care who wears what, what avatars, labels, costumes etc make them happy, just leave me alone to be homosexual without bullying to sex up men and everyone faffing about being lovely and open minded with their exciting personal labels to the point where there's no word for it AND I have muppets telling me to sex up men. Or excluding me from the world until I give up and get my knickers off for blokes. Or at least convincingly promise I would. It's abusive arseholery and nothing else.

And if we could bloody not try pushing abuse of children, animals and non consenting others as something excitingly jolly, inclusive and other verbal bollocks that would be quite nice too.

nothingcomestonothing · 07/06/2023 20:27

The woman tends to be interested in having said penis in vagina, not putting a penis anywhere in someone. It doesn't matter if they're trans or not.

But if the woman is a transwoman, she has a penis. So I'd say it very much matters if they're trans or not. Confused

No woman has a penis. Confused

nilsmousehammer · 07/06/2023 21:10

I am reminded of the individual informing lesbians that their lady penis would feel very different in their mouth to a man's penis.

My response is somewhat like the 'choke on my dick' snarls of sexual violence to lesbians who won't do straight sex on command. Which is that I would strongly suggest placing nothing in my mouth that you would wish to be able to take home and play with afterwards.

StepAwayFromTheBiscuitJar · 07/06/2023 21:06

No woman has a penis. Confused

But if the 'woman', by which the PP seems to mean the person who thinks like a woman (dunno), is trans then they have a penis so then...no...no I've lost it now.

If only there were a way to differentiate men and women with reference to their biology. And straight and gay people, with reference to their sexual attraction

StepAwayFromTheBiscuitJar · 08/06/2023 14:02

This is part of what I hate about social media. 99% of this nonsense would disappear if the internet died overnight, because most of this is just people chatting shit online.

nilsmousehammer · 08/06/2023 14:25

Unfortunately the males inflicting themselves on lesbians in pubs, clubs, bars, groups, (many of which have had to go underground to escape them) aren't just chatting about it on social media, they're approaching women with this shit and grooming the young ones to believe good lesbianism involves straight sex work for males as a social duty (learn to cope with it like a good girl. If you hate it, you haven't tried hard enough! Duty of the male involved to help you with this? Fuck all, he's there as the customer and God help you if you don't do it right.)

The models of hanged women representing lesbians declaring their right to openly hold a sexuality that excludes all men from their bodies regardless of how each individual male feels about it? Not really just social media either. It may have mostly built up confidence in that sphere, but this shit is now real.

But any sort of fetish would be a no for me. Cross dressers. Those people who dress as animals. Spurs fans. People who like whipped. No thanks.

Spurs fans! That's gross! You've gone too far with that one!

I can give you an example.

In today's Guardian, there is an article about lesbian bars. The main photo has, front and centre, a transwoman. I know that this individual is trans because I read a thread on another forum about real life versus filtered photographs and this individual was featured.

You really need to up your game, Guardian, if you think you're being clever.

motherofbantams · 08/06/2023 19:53

Absolutely Yes, if I still fancied him when I saw him all dressed up!
