Would you date a man who cross dressed?

Compatible in most ways but they admitted from the beginning they cross dressed. Would you?

Well it's clear from these posts that any man who is even a little bit gender non conforming is a total freak and raging pervert.

Perhaps we should return to pre-war dress codes - all these women walking around wearing trousers and men's shirts, my word. Men must only wear trousers and women must only wear skirts.

I don't believe in gendered clothes, so I don't really care what anyone wears.

I don’t care what anyone wears either but it might well have an effect on whether I find them sexually attractive.
So, if I man I had any other kind of relationship with revealed he liked to wear women’s clothes it would make very little difference to how I saw them. Friends, relatives, colleagues etc. All fine. Just a new insight into their life.
A man I was perhaps considering dating would be friendzoned.
A boyfriend would be dumped.
A husband I would ask for separation and start the process for a divorce.
It’s just deeply sexually unattractive to me. But that’s only relevant if you’re someone I’m having sex with.

thefamous5 · 03/04/2023 11:30

No.

I'd find it revolting.

Men who dress a bit flamboyantly on occasions, with a bit of makeup? Sure, why not. Especially if it's a bit of punky eyeliner. I knocked around the burlesque/alternative arts scene for a bit and we all dressed like that. Bloody fantastic.

"Proper" cross-dressing, as in trying to look like a woman? Hard no. Ick.

I remember back in the 80s being a huge fan of David Sylvian who wore a lot of make up (he looked damn gorgeous in it) but he never gave off pretending to be a woman vibes.

ShimmeringShirts · 03/04/2023 11:31

No, I view them as less than a man. Im only attracted to males so it’s a turn off and something I’d run a mile from, whether I’d been with them for 5 months or 15 years.

Does he look good or ridiculous? Does he do it public or only at home?

I'm honestly not sure.

We can pretty safely say he doesn't look good.

Major turn off.

TheWordWomanIsTaken · 03/04/2023 11:40

Never

Anonymouseposter · 03/04/2023 11:40

No, I wouldn’t

HedgehogManager · 03/04/2023 11:40

No. I like a man to look like a stereotypical man. I don't mean big muscles and beard necessarily just a manly bloke in all sense.
I find Harry Style, David Bowie and any man who wear make up or feminine clothes or hair unattractive. They wouldn't be my type and I doubt I'd be theirs so no loss really.
I think crossdressing is a gateway kink for more to come and might even indicate bisexuality or homosexuality which is fine but as a straight woman I prefer to be with straight men. I don't like any 'metrosexuality' in my partner.

HoppingPavlova · 03/04/2023 11:41

So, you personally don’t find any clothing unattractive/a turn off? Personally, if DH started romping about in a Borat mankini, I would have the ick immediately. I wouldn’t go down the ‘good for him, I don’t care what anyone wears, and I won’t let it get in the way of what I perceive as attractive’ road. I’m sure that makes me a bad person (somehow), but also don’t give a fuck as that’s how I feel.

loislovesstewie · 03/04/2023 11:41

No. And definitely not Spurs fans.

HaggisBurger · 03/04/2023 11:43

BadgerFacedCoo · 03/04/2023 09:08

No.

But any sort of fetish would be a no for me. Cross dressers. Those people who dress as animals. Spurs fans. People who like whipped. No thanks.

Spurs fans 😂😂

HaggisBurger · 03/04/2023 11:44

Big no from me

Eightiesgirl · 03/04/2023 11:44

Definitely not. The shock I had many years ago when dating a widower and walking into the bedroom the first night I stayed over at his, to find him wearing a bra and knickers, was indescribable. He then tried to justify it by saying they were his late wife's, as if that somehow made it OK. It took me a long time to recover from that sight.

cailingaelach · 03/04/2023 11:44

No.

Horizons83 · 03/04/2023 11:45

Haven’t us Spurs fans suffered enough without this additional prejudice??

😁

Oops that was to @BadgerFacedCoo

ZiriForEver · 03/04/2023 11:46

I wanted to say no, but...

I have a male friend who does cartoon cosplays, often the characters portraited are women.
He loves the costume making and fun with friends, majority in his cosplaying community are women and he has an androgynous face, so it started as filling in one role in a group cosplay and it just works, so he now picks characters he likes, not based on gender any more.

I would have issue with standard drag, with mocking women, portraying stereotypes and so on, but when it comes to fantastic costumes, I don't see it as sexual, I see it as free.

God, that's disgusting how he spurred it on you like this it's almost an injury to the eyes and psyche! I hate it when people spring their weird fetishes on you without discussion and consent first. So fucking weird.

evilharpy · 03/04/2023 11:46

Absolutely not. Although I would consider a Spurs fan.
