The daily fail have really gone after Thomas Cashman's partner in the paper today, painting her as a gangsters moll.

Do you think she really knew what he was up to? What's the feeling in Liverpool towards her?

AIBU to feel sorry for his kids and wonder what kind of life they will have now? his son and daughter are also victims in this horrible tragedy now. It's so sad.

This. Those poor kids need to be taken away from this scummy family.

One of his kids is 14; it may well be too late for him/her now.

Downtown123 · 01/04/2023 13:30

Of course she know, did you see the state of her turning up to court in them ridiculous outfits no respect what so ever. His children might be victims in all this but at least they haven’t been murdered

Deathraystare · 01/04/2023 13:31

Of course she knew but hey! What does it matter what his 'job' was ?Gotta dress up and have good jewellry!!

Ponoka7 · 01/04/2023 13:32

Re the surprise at him being convicted. I live around the corner from the victims. I saw Nee about two weeks before this happened opposite the estate that Cashman lived on. I was going to the Tesco. I said to my DP "what the hell is he doing around here, he's going to end up dead". He's well known and he is a complete rat. It seems strange to me that if they had beef going on that he'd be by Cashman's house and around the pub. I think that the family probably thought that Cashman wouldn't f up his life to do this when there's enough foot soldiers to pay to do it.
His GF chose to be with a drug dealer, it's a lifestyle choice and you accept that they are going to shag about. As long as they throw them enough to have mirrored furniture, lips/nails and a car better than average, they accept that comes at a price. Since the killing of another gf of a dealer I think that it will make some think twice. However for some girls who have little hope of a decent future, they just want to be driven around in a nice car and get a bit of money thrown at them. It is complex.

Whenever a man does something shit they always go after a woman too. It implies it was her job to keep him in check and I've got not time for it.

Sweet mother of Jesus, are you serious??

no her responsibility is to keep herself in check which by all accounts she did not. She is responsible for her actions, her silence and her behaviour .

Don’t demean women by taking away our responsibility and accountability

BashirWithTheGoodBeard · 01/04/2023 13:46

PiccaZ · 01/04/2023 13:14

This is a woman who turned up to court to support her partner - whilst his MISTRESS testified against him and he admitted having another fair with one of his partners best mates.

The pink coat just tops the whole thing off

Just another silly woman with zero self esteem who’d happily support a child murderer who isn’t even loyal to her in exchange for lips, Botox and a pink coat. Vile woman

Even on the assumption she's unbothered by the drugs and violence, you'd think she'd feel humiliated sitting there in court while her partner's mistress talks about what a small penis he's got, wouldn't you? It's so pathetic. And she won't even be able to say to herself that at least the other woman was just a girlfriend while she's the wife, which I've seen happen before in situations where the woman is standing by a cheat who rubs her nose in it. Cringeworthy.

I agree. No-one posting here knows what she did or didn't know. He could have told her all kinds of lies about the source of his income.

So according to The Fail, this woman's crimes are wearing pink, having botox, trying to start a business and being loyal to her loser husband.
Please, can we all try to rise above and resist being manipulated by trash reporting like this. The only thing we should feel for her is pity.

BMW6 · 01/04/2023 13:56

She's been his gf since school FFS. She knows what "work" he's had and what money he flashes around!

She has ALWAYS known that he's a drug dealer and a criminal. There are people on here who are local and they have said that they know, everyone in the area knows!

How can you be so naive? ?

Godzillaisjusthangry · 01/04/2023 13:58

To be honest, the reason I started this thread was to try to see it from her point of view, because to be honest I keep thinking about Cheryl Korbel's hand. How the bullet went through it and into Olivia. How she has to live with that visual scar for the rest of her life, that reminder of how she tried to protect her daughter. Then I look at this woman, also a mother and think how she has deliberately put her children into the path of bullets and violence and how these two women are just so poles apart.

Come on! Surely you could think of a better way to describe that monstrous man than 'loser', and as for 'trying to start a business' 😂

I can only hope that those here defending this woman as an innocent bystander are extremely naive and unworldly, rather than wilfully antagonistic. Although anyone with even the most limited life experiences and understanding of how the other half live will surely have read and seen news stories and true accounts of criminals in society - nobody is so dim that they can't understand how these set-ups work.

She's a brazen, self-serving, despicable person.

VeryApple · 01/04/2023 14:01

Do people defending her feel the same about Maxine Carr?

Sarah2891 · 01/04/2023 14:05

Of course she knew. She's scum like him.

Was Maxine Carr 'trying to start a business'?

🙄

WeAreTheHeroes · 01/04/2023 14:06

Maxine Carr stupidly/misguidedly gave Ian Huntley an alibi when she wasn't even around when he committed murder. Imo the partner of a drug dealer who doesn't have a job, but has plenty of money must know he's a criminal and involved in drugs. She's potentially worse. She didn't commit murder though. Neither woman did.

girlfriend44 · 01/04/2023 14:08

Yer but did she know he also had another FWB if not she does now.😂

reesewithoutaspoon · 01/04/2023 14:10

She knew. You don't grow up in those areas and not know.
I did and we knew, and some girls would make a play for these thugs and gangsters because they wanted the lifestyle.
When your option was working in a dead-end job and raising kids to some waster of a man or having a dealer boyfriend with flash cars, jewellery, holidays, designer clothes, or cosmetic surgery they chose the latter. Bar bagging a footballer it was almost considered aspirational.
Education is sneered at, there is a poverty of ambition, and the only way you lived a flash life was by being involved in crime or shacking up with someone who was.

RunAwayTurnAwayRunAwayTurnAway · 01/04/2023 14:10

Of course she fucking knew.

No, she knew he's a violent thug and drugs dealer and knew her lifestyle was funded from the proceeds of serious crime. She's not an innocent bystander who had no idea what was going on, come on now, don't be silly.
