The daily fail have really gone after Thomas Cashman's partner in the paper today, painting her as a gangsters moll.

Do you think she really knew what he was up to? What's the feeling in Liverpool towards her?

AIBU to feel sorry for his kids and wonder what kind of life they will have now? his son and daughter are also victims in this horrible tragedy now. It's so sad.

because neither the prosecution or defence wanted him as a witness in court.

he is having meetings with his barrister and legal team about putting an appeal in.

legal people like to make money, there is obviously money to be made on this case

she was sleeping with another woman man, so obviously she’s not fussy and loyalty,

wasn't that also the case with ashman, he was sleeping with his mates girlfriend?

’ve heard that Cheryl korbel was seeing Joseph nee but don’t know how true that is

how would that effect the case if it was true or not? Still a gun was aimed and fired into the door and shot a girl dead

WRT your last sentence - it could explain why it was their door that was knocked on and why it was poor Olivia who died. If it wasn’t random, it most certainly changes things for the family.

if he wasn't needed for the prosecutions case, then he wasn't needed and it would seem the protection got the results they wanted without him

as for the defence, TC barrister didn't want him as a witness either

Im not sure whats not to get about that

people don't get to choose whether they are witnesses or not, they are called up and must attend

by accounts told, the door was already open as the mother had opened the door to see what the commotion was outside in the street - not sure a closed door was knocked on but an open door pushed to allow a man running to escape to somewhere he wouldn't be shot

how does or would it change things for the family, the shooting will have still killed their daughter and thats what the court case was about, the killing of a young child

A confession made in interview (or anywhere else outside the courtroom) is admissible evidence against the person who confesses, but not against anyone else.

It would change things for me if I knew the man who had shot and murdered my daughter did so during a chase on the man I was sleeping with.
Do you not think it would give reason as to why they were on her street, if the man she was sleeping with was running from someone?

To be fair, it's a copy of a post from the Liverpool Echo and its still available there I'm guessing the people who may target cashman and his family are far more likely to read the echo than MN
