Beauty students asked to strip in front of trans rapist at college AFTER sex attacks

My AIBU title taken from this news article:

www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/beauty-students-asked-strip-front-29063499

This whole 'Isla Bryson' cluster-fuck has me angrier than I can describe.

These girls had to accept and trust this vile individual in their beauty course on the basis of Isla's claim to be a woman, nothing more. They even tolerated abuse from Isla.

They were not told this individual was facing charges of rape. The college claim they didn't know either. Because 'Isla' said he was a women, these young women felt they had no choice but to strip to virtually naked in front of him. Failing to do so would be 'bigoted'.

But he also happens to be a serial rapist. Young women, some possibly aged 16 or so, stripping to virtually naked while a serial rapist watches. If this was my daughter I would be going mad.

Where is the safeguarding?

AIBU to feel viscerally angry with all our politicians about this?

I spent the afternoon talking to some female friends. Without exception, we are all livid. No pussy-footing around at all. I also feel that that shackle of 'intimidation' - being labelled transphobic - that comes with daring to care about the possibility that young girls and women will be harmed is well and truly behind me. I really don't care anymore. There is no way I'll stay silent in the face of serial rapists and others like him having free access to women and girls. And trans advocates who try to tell me that this beast's mental health and trans rights are more important than these girls and women can just fuck right off. I honestly feel like something well and truly snapped in me.

I really hope it’s a turning point. I’m not seeing it though. The only reference on SM amongst friends is one woman saying he’s ‘not a real trans woman’. So that’s ok 😕

I hope this brings the whole self-ID nonsense to a halt in Scotland. If this doesn’t peak the nation, what will? Sturgeon, Harvie and all those who have facilitated this monstrousness need to be booted decisively and firmly OUT.

It would be nice if it did but it won’t, not yet.

The trans activists have been working on this for years. Their stated strategy was to target the prisons and ‘work closely’ with them to bring in self id as they identified prison as the biggest challenge and toughest example. They strategised that if they could gain a ‘win’ there, then all other public services would have to follow.

Any challenges to self id policies in hospitals etc could be quashed by pointing at the prisons - if they can ‘make it work’ there, there is no argument to not have it everywhere. A man called James Morton worked on the strategy document years ago.

The policies and training are now deeply embedded in our public services. Trans activists have set up themselves up to ‘police’ the language and ‘inclusivity’ of their colleagues reporting anyone who dissents or asks for single sex spaces.

They have embedded themselves in some schools and the police and judiciary as well as the civil service. They deliver ‘training courses’ that misrepresent the law and make false claims about the plight of trans people.

This will take years to fix. But this case has given a boost to public awareness at least.

a friend of mine had to get a dbs to be in college when he was 19. So did this college not do one for Bryson or did the charge not show up? It should have done. It really should be checked to see where the failure occurred. Because if Bryson put all prior names and it was missed that’s a massive DBS fuck up. And if someone actually let him get away with not putting prior names on a dbs check given how he obviously hasn’t always been “Annie” then that person needs to be fired.

I thought maybe it was an adult college but one of the women quoted is only 18 now so would have been 16 when on the course.

The girls I know who chose to do beauty courses all started around 16, straight out of school, instead of pursuing advanced highers. When I read this I imagined them standing virtually naked while an adult menacing serial rapist watched. It is completely unforgivable.

Any chance anyone corrected her and explained that no, just like all the other men saying they are women this one is also trans. Based purely on the fact that they say they are.

As its time to decide. Are they all, including the double rapists, trans...or...are they all actually just men pretending to be women?

It really is time to choose.

This has sod all to do with Bryson's trans status @LastOfTheChristmasWine

It has everything to do with his trans status. You think he'd have been allowed to see girls naked if he wasn't claiming to be a woman himself? And even if it had been suggested, the girls would have felt able to say "no, I don't want to strip in front of a man", and their wishes would have been respected because it is a generally accepted principle in our society that women shouldn't be forced to get naked around men or see men naked without consent.

But because he claimed to be a woman, and because we now have this RIDICULOUS situation where self ID is held up as sacrosanct, and it is claimed that no "cis" man would ever abuse self ID, and transwomen are all fragile vulnerable flowers who would never hurt a woman and must absolutely be believed otherwise you're a bigot, not only were the girls expected to strip in front of him, but they knew they would be accused of bigotry if they refused.

👏 👏 👏

Kilwinning college is an adult college but still likely that 16 year olds were on the course.

They appear too scared to put him in the Bar-L he was taken to Edinburgh last night.

No. And I don’t have the energy to argue with these people. I suspect she’s encouraging her daughter to transition too. Seen it before with a family member.

I'm lost here.

What is the point of DBS checks then??

We all rely on them for childcare, teaching, etc. I know someone who teaches sewing at a local college, and she had to have a DBS check as some of the adults may be vulnerable.

Just coming back to this.

It isn't trans people being able to hide their identity. It isn't a loophole. It is deliberately designed this way.

There is a specific trans hotline that if someone 'decided to be' trans, then it is on them to make the call. Note, anyone can 'be' trans'.

Because a paedophile or rapist is going to call and say 'you know that job in a girls primary school that I applied for, well just to let you know I'm actually a paedophile rapist called X, thought you should know. Bye'...right?

Oh hang on...

No one actually believes that, they're just scared of the consequences if they don't say 'she.'

Exactly this.
Extreme bullying and harassment for anyone who doesn’t go along with the Emperor’s new Clothes narrative.

A person with a small penis protruding out of leggings or a skirt is obviously a male, no matter how thick the wig is, or how long the fake talons, or trowelled on makeup.

You wouldn't have been thanked for it.

Absolutely awful. I feel like there needs to be a separate category of "trans rapist" in all the crime recording etc instead of recording them as "male" or "female" not because trans ideology has any place here, but to shine a light so we can procure meaningful statistics that rip the whole lid off this nightmare and prove that it's turtles all the way down.

I would expect radical trans activists to be in complete support of this because it would provide comprehensive evidence women have nothing to worry about at all. (Actually, I don't expect them to support anything that women suggest).

but we all accepted her for who she wanted to be

What's gone wrong with the way that this generation has been brought up that it doesn't occur to them to say "no"? It doesn't seem in this case as if they have been intimidated into staying silent (which would be understandable), no, they've almost been brainwashed into accepting this as perfectly normal. We should be teaching our daughters to recognise red flags, and to have to confidence to say "no" when confronted with one.

I will be using this exact case, specifically relating to young girls, as an example to my daughter of how she needs to trust no one. How she cannot trust the school, politicians, the police etc to keep her safe etc. That she needs to trust her instincts and always act on them. I will promise to back her up every step of the way. This vile creature made them all feel shite, and yet they still went on to strip in front of him thinking they had no choice. If one of these girls was my daughter, I'd be right now looking into who could be held accountable and how.

This has been the objective. To break down the sexual barriers. To make it harder for women, young girls, children, oh and also, can't believe I'm having to write this, lesbians, to say no to the male body person in their space or in their body.

My 16 year old niece had one in her beauty therapy class. The girls often worked in pairs for practical lessons, performing treatments on each other. She was genuinely upset about the prospect of being paired up with this person. What on earth kind of mental head fuck is it to tell a 16 year old girl she has to lie down and allow a man in a skirt to wax their intimate parts?
The person was 19 and it was no secret they were male but it didn't make it any less disturbing for my daughter.
Thank the Lord, it never happened as they left 6 weeks into the course. I don't know if they were asked to leave.

That's horrendous. Will women need to start running secret classes in the privacy of their homes - like they do in Afghanistan - so they can control who takes part? Is that where we're headed? FFS.

There will be a tsunami of horrors coming out in the coming weeks, the cat is out of the bag and people can finally speak without fear about the effects of the slow creep of self id that's been snuck in by the back door. Those poor girls, and so many others still to speak out.

I certainly hope so!

Beauticians tend to work alone in single rooms

I just had a thought. Imagine if Isla Bryson, serial rapist, qualified as a beautician and got a job working as one in a salon . In those single rooms, waxing the bikini areas of clients who are too scared to refuse because 'transphobia', in a salon too scared to control it because 'discrimination'. Christ.

And the girls and college said and did nothing because anyone who does pays a heavy price. There would have been rape and death threats, risks to the students future employment, the college would have been hounded by transactivists.

The lovely women on the feminist board believe in golden bridges and welcoming people when the light finally dawn's about what a bad idea self ID has always been but I'm not one of those women.

If you've ever posted on a thread about what a transphobic place MN is and how TERF's are all full of hate then you have contributed to the climate of fear which kept both the students and college silent and threw safeguarding out of the window.

YOU SHOULD BE FUCKING ASHAMED OF YOURSELVES, YOU ARE A VIRTUE SIGNALLING, DICK PANDERING DISGRACE.

If I have to be nice and forgiving of your utter stupidity to get you to support the rights of women and safeguarding then we don't need you in the fight, you are too easily influenced by absolute bollocks and represent a liability not an asset.

I too was live and let live but the instant I became aware of tension between women's rights and self ID (about 5 years ago) the problems were as obvious as the nose on my face, I didn't need persuading.

I don't care what you think about my anger, I cannot forgive the people who have played a part in engineering a situation where teenage girls are forced into a situation where they are nearly naked in front of an adult male, sexual predator or not, and where their right to refuse consent has been taken away by people who think they are fucking kind.
