This whole 'Isla Bryson' cluster-fuck has me angrier than I can describe.

These girls had to accept and trust this vile individual in their beauty course on the basis of Isla's claim to be a woman, nothing more. They even tolerated abuse from Isla.

They were not told this individual was facing charges of rape. The college claim they didn't know either. Because 'Isla' said he was a women, these young women felt they had no choice but to strip to virtually naked in front of him. Failing to do so would be 'bigoted'.

But he also happens to be a serial rapist. Young women, some possibly aged 16 or so, stripping to virtually naked while a serial rapist watches. If this was my daughter I would be going mad.

Where is the safeguarding?

AIBU to feel viscerally angry with all our politicians about this?

I know, what happened to Stonewall's mantra of "Acceptance Without Exception" and everybody is who they say they are...?

I imagine, in the same way as Mermaids discovered that they never said that anyone was born in the wrong body and they simply can't understand why anyone says they did stop talking like that now, it will soon emerge that Stonewall never said anything like that either and it's a mystery that anyone says that they did.

How about not asking any woman to strip in front of a man as part of a degree program?!?!?

If he hadn't identified as a woman, he wouldn't have been on that beauty course. That's the whole point - males can use 'trans' to get into women's spaces.

My 16 year old niece had one in her beauty therapy class. The girls often worked in pairs for practical lessons, performing treatments on each other. She was genuinely upset about the prospect of being paired up with this person. What on earth kind of mental head fuck is it to tell a 16 year old girl she has to lie down and allow a man in a skirt to wax their intimate parts?
The person was 19 and it was no secret they were male but it didn't make it any less disturbing for my daughter.
Thank the Lord, it never happened as they left 6 weeks into the course. I don't know if they were asked to leave.

I've been like a voice in the wilderness for years on this issue. Called a transphobe and a bigot etc.
Perhaps now people will finally understand what I've been saying.
This is only the beginning, especially when you have people like Sturgeon and her mad ideas.
It will get worse, much worse, and until BOTH sexes stand up and say enough is enough then it will continue.
Women have had their rights eroded but by bit, particularly by large organisations such as the NHS and local councils, and we as women have undeniably allowed it to not only continue, but to flourish.
How many men's changing rooms have been invaded? How many men's prisons? Prostate cancer clinics? Sports?....let me tell you. None!
Yet, women are expected to not only put up with all the above ( prostate cancer clinics excluded obviously ) but also reduced to almost nothing....chestfeeders, incubators, people who bleed...need I go on?
I don't care if it makes me a transphobic bigot, it's a drum I will continue to beat until my dying breath.
They can call themselves women all they want, they aren't and never will be women.
You can go and have all the surgery you want, you will never be a woman and lastly.....
YOU SHOULD NOT BE IN WOMEN'S SPACES. YOU SHOULD NOT HAVE ACCESS TO VULNERABLE FEMALES!
Women here, I ask that if you are in a shop which allows men access to changing rooms, please leave the shop, don't give them your custom until they see sense.
If you have a male trying to join your daughter's sport team, please pull her out until they see sense.
Continue this in every aspect of what should be a female only domain.
Women....the power is in YOUR hands, please use it for the sake of your daughter's, granddaughters and future generations of females.

He then beat up a male inmate in the male prison after which his gender was 'recognised' and he was moved to the female prison estate!

Men, however they identify, however law abiding the may be should not be in women's single sex spaces. These young girls would not have undressed in from of a man. Because this man self-id'd as trans, they felt forced to. They didn't know he was a rapist, their discomfort was because he is a man. It’s not said often enough but it’s not (just) the fact that they might be predators. I don’t want a man in women’s spaces. Full stop. I don’t want to pretend a man is a woman. Look at the beauticians. They were uncomfortable because he was a man, but they were bullied into accepting him there.
I’m also concerned about transition. My DH has a family member (not in UK, in Europe), a young teenage girl, who started the process. She’s now changed her mind. She should never ever have been allowed to start. What the long term effect on her body will be, I dread to think.

This reminds me of that rapist David Challenor who was given a 20 year sentence for raping and torturing a 10 year old child.

Part of the way he abused her was that he put on a frilly dress and pressured the child to refer to him by a female name throughout her ordeal. He was clearly getting a kick out of forcing her to pretend to think he was female.

I don't know his current gender, but certainly up to the time of his trial Challenor didn't actually identify as trans. However his son (now called Aimee Challenor) and stepson have both transitioned.

Yes - he's 6'4 and built like a brick sh*thouse, and he's being housed with vulnerable women. I don't know if this jail has a mother and baby unit, too, but I would't put it past the authorities to house a paedophile with babies.

They have to practice the treatments on each other which includes waxing, body massage, spa treatments etc. You're not naked but you do need to get changed and undressed down to underwear regularly.
This is exactly why there needs to be safeguarding in place.
