There are social tariffs for broadband and water if your on some benefits.
If you have Plantar Facilitis a Cortisone injection can be given free at the doctors and helps relieve the pain.
Tell us something we might not know that can help us?

Safety tip: when eating a polar bear's lover, make sure the polar bear is nowhere near.

Does washing powder work on normal sized oars as well? If I'm using an oar to bash in a polar bears head, I want it to be much longer than a scull tbh...

Good point! Would you use a bowside or strokeside oar?

Good refinement there, NoName. Leads me to suggest hopping on all carpets due to the smaller area of shoe/carpet interface involved in the hop. Or alternatively taking longer strides - normal area of shoe/carpet contact but offset by reduced frequency.

That reminds me. Avoid being caught short in the bathroom when an old man with one leg has just hopped down the landing to get in. You may never get over the guilt.

Oh but come on, some of these an average 10 year old should know

@Cheesetoastiesz. I've never met the person who knows everything about everything...

And saying these are things the average 10-year old should know implies, surely, that not all 10-year olds will know the same things, as exceptions to the average exist.

@Emotionalsupportviper , I gave a coy of Tin Can Cook o the charity shop because I didn't want to waste money cooking meals by someone I have no faith in. Book was bought in a charity shop anyway.

@Sconces , but wasn't the alternative staircase expensive to install?

Good spot Kirsten. I was maximising time savings by using autocucumber and well, lesson learned.

That depends whether you are left or right handed.

Shufflebumnessie · 21/01/2023 12:41

Not sure it's quite what you're after but in Brazil if a lost child is found on the beach the child is put on someone's shoulders, everyone around them sits down and claps. All the noise alerts the people looking for the child.

Strawberrypicnic · 20/01/2023 17:42

If you have a bra or other small item that needs handwashing, take it into the shower and wash it while you're in there. Shampoo works well in lieu of laundry detergent.

My bra is NOT a small item 🤣

Any tips for vegetarians visiting the Arctic?

Don't eat yellow snow.

Yes. Don't eat yellow snow

I see I was beaten to it!

I suppose it depends where the worst blisters are too

Washing powder sprinkled on paths and patios get rid of moss and green stains. Sprinkle and leave. No effort

@Giggorata @Tricyrtis2022 @Feministwoman do you have top skull tips for the oil in marine mammals bones? I have a partial porpoise but burying didn't sort out the grease.

Do you already hold a licence to own body parts of cetaceans? If not then you need to apply for one or you are breaking the law.

Top tip: When keeping animal remains, law varies between countries Smile

If you're a carer who works too many hours to claim carers allowance then you might be eligible for carers credit instead.

Off topic, but this is an education.... I thought it was a 'bamboree'. Bain Marie is a completely new thing to me 😂

Ooh... 'bamboree'. I'm adding this to the top of my list of favourite mis-heard/mispronounced words! It's up there with 'Gazooby' (gazebo). 😆

Not always! Speaking from experience.

Oh right. The University I work at does and if we don't have access to an article you want we will get a free copy via the inter-library loans service. Perhaps we're just lucky 😊

If you have more than one child buy each child wrapping paper with a different pattern. So three kids you might go with: child 1 - red with silver stars, child 2- Elsa xmas, child 3- white with penguins. Then you can just wrap each child's presents in 'their' paper and you won't need to do any labels/tags!

We got ours some of those urethane wrist bands with our mobile numbers on them. Kids had them on their wrists, rucksacks etc.

SlaveToTheVibe · 21/01/2023 13:07

If you boil your potatoes dry, pour milk into the pan before levering them out! It gets rid of the burnt taste fast! If you use water they will not be salvageable!

you’re welcome!

caz114 · 21/01/2023 13:07

If you are buying or selling a property never complete on a Friday, if things go wrong it'll already be the weekend and therefore difficult to get hold of the people you need to help. Try and complete/exchange on a Thursday instead, therefore allowing extra time in the week.

Daftasabroom · 21/01/2023 13:09

Shampoo or shower gel will clean drinking glasses better than anything else on the planet.

caz114 · 21/01/2023 13:12

If you are on medication, keep a copy of your prescription in your purse. That way if you are in an accident, the medical team looking after you will know what medication you are on in order to treat you safely.

Hi, not the bit above your nose, the centre of one eyebrow above the middle of your eye. Pinch above and below the eyebrow. We use this in the army, it’s a pretty tried and tested technique!

Nope. Not on me (unless you are jamming your thumb right ino the eye socket, which I do not want to try on myself).

And definitely don't (try to) complete on the last Friday before Christmas...
