There are social tariffs for broadband and water if your on some benefits.
If you have Plantar Facilitis a Cortisone injection can be given free at the doctors and helps relieve the pain.
Tell us something we might not know that can help us?

Any one got any tips for falling out of love, I got dumped in the last year instead of getting married and it bites.

Ah, that's a raw wound.
Remember you were ok before you ever met him, so you'll be fine now.
Write a list of all the things that annoyed you about him, they were bound to get worse over time. 💐

Don't hunters in the US/Canada wear bright clothes to stop them shooting each other?

Not just hunters, hikers too. We wear orange. Deer see it as grey. I’m not sure how bears see it. Might go and Google that now (I live in an area where you can encounter bears while walking the dog).

My tip from having actually encountered a black bear who did not retreat when we fought back is to have a vehicle handy to jump into when a bear attacks.

I have two sons. One wears black socks to school and the other wears grey. This will be the case as long as they launder their clothes under my roof.

This is pure genius tyvm

Best way to make mash: microwave your spud, cut it in two and put each piece cut side down through a potato ricer. Pull the skin out each time you do it. Quick, easy, no lumps, very little mess.

Bugger.

It usually works if done just for a few hours or a day. Fear ye not the spiders' willies.

If you have some nice bear skulls that you'd like to preserve, remember:
If it's brown, in the ground
If it's black, dishwasher tablet in a sack
If it's polar, vinegar and cola*

  • Under no circumstances must you eat it's liver.

If you have more than one child buy each child wrapping paper with a different pattern. So three kids you might go with: child 1 - red with silver stars, child 2- Elsa xmas, child 3- white with penguins. Then you can just wrap each child's presents in 'their' paper and you won't need to do any labels/tags!

I do this but with each child having a different sticker on each their presents at Christmas. Means I can still use lots of different wrapping paper and also they can't easily tell what under the tree is theirs in advance, without a close inspection!

If it's white, Good Night.

I was thinking "If it's white - Oh, SH!TE!, but yours works, too.

😁

Many local councils will offer adults free 1-2-1 road cycling lessons to get people confident about cycling to work. I had a full 2 x 2 hour lessons and commute to work on my bike now!

▪️Use a squeegee to get hair out of carpet.
▪️Rest a wooden spoon on top of a pan of boiling water to stop it boiling over.
▪️Set a daily alarm on your phone to remember to take meds.

On a keyboard: shift + command + 4 will bring up an icon called a crosshair, hold down the mouse to screengrab a portion of your screen. Use it all the time

This is just for a Mac also ‘command shift 3’ takes a shot of the whole screen.

For a pc print screen button and to select you use the built in snipping tool.

This is good except sometimes the brown ones are more or less black and the black ones can be brown. Damn sneaky are bears!

If you carry a pic-a-nic basket and leave it behind it will give you time to reach the ranger's office. (Only works with bears wearing hats and/or bow ties.0

Only if you promise to keep all my details private.
I think it works on diamond jewellery and Mummy's lips as well.

I'm very old, I mis-read that as 'details of my privates' but having seen the US magazines when we were there at roughly the same time as Harold's Vegas trip......

According to my teenage daughter if you murder someone bury the standing up and with a dead animal buried on top of them. The first stops any identifying of the shape of a body/grave. The second is to throw off cadaver dogs with the scent and if they did dig the area they would hopefully just find an animal. Don’t know whether to be proud or horrified that she’s out so much thought into it…

Myhydrangeachangedcolour · 20/01/2023 19:37

@Emotionalsupportviper true. If it’s a short, stout, yellow bear they are easily distracted by a pot of honey.

If your arse hurts after lying on the sofa watching tv for too long, simply roll over onto your front and continue watching.

this really made me chuckle lol

If you take steroids to cheat, don’t run too fast or you’ll get caught out

Silk flowers clean up nicely, shaken in a plastic bag with some salt.
Baby oil is great for stainless steels sinks.

And um, bio washing powder or liquid cleans up any skulls you might want to preserve.
Get rid of as much of the soft tissue and brain that you can, then soak them in a solution for a few days to remove the residue. It brings them up nice and white.

I can confirm the skull thing.

I cleaned my skull with biological detergent and a soft nailbrush when I was at uni. She came up a treat, bless her.* (Well - I say my skull - not the one inside my own head, obviously - just the one the anatomy department lent me for a year).

*Personally I think it's very disrespectful drawing/writing on body parts that people have been generous enough to donate to medical science.

One eighteen inch pizza is more pizza than two twelve inch ones

Don't take criticism from someone you wouldn't take advice from!

If you’ve a spring form tin then don’t bother trimming greaseproof paper, put the sheet in, snap it shut and just tear the excess off

Riverlee · 20/01/2023 19:42

Take travel insurance out as soon as you book your holiday. Then you’re covered if you have to cancel. Also get the correct cover. On Jeremy Vine show today, they featured a case whereby a man was stuck abroad due to an accident. He’d taken an annual policy, the policy stated that each holiday had to have a maximum of 30 days. He’d exceeded this time period.

ReluctantCourier · 20/01/2023 19:43

Murder someone super short then. That’s a lot of digging if you take out like a basketball player…

Riverlee · 20/01/2023 19:43

Do Pom bears have toxic livers, and are we supposed to run or stay still with them?

Giggorata · 20/01/2023 18:10

When burying a body, make sure you cover the site in rare or endangered plants, so that it is illegal for anyone to dig it up.

Unfortunately I checked this with a relative who is a police officer one day when DH was being especially annoying and it turns out to be an urban myth. So disappointing.
Probably best to apply one of the best tips to the problem instead.

Save money on expensive binoculars by simply moving nearer to what you want to look at
