to wonder if a 5’7 female is ‘big’

I’m a 5’7 and a half female, in your completely honest opinion do you think I’m tall or average height. I feel massive and huge next to every other girl, don’t wear heels ever and hate it.
im just under 9st and feel I just look like this absolute giant.
I never am called tall by anyone but believe I am.
In your opinion is 5’7-5’8 ‘really tall’ for a female

I'm 5'9 and while I'm taller than average, I don't feel like I'm out of the ordinary in terms of height, I regularly see women taller than me. Sometimes clothes can be a bit short on me but I'm too short for a lot of the long length clothes unless I wear massive heels. I wouldn't think you were big at all.

I'm 5ft7 and love my height. I wear 3 inch heels and flats and don't feel tiny or "abmormally" huge either way. Yes it is taller than average for UK women. It's the "shortest " you can be to qualify to be a model (so I read somewhere once lol!). Most of my female friends and family are between 5ft 4 and 5ft 9
My mum is 5ft 6 and dad is 6ft3

I notice younger women than me are getting taller. But I love my height, though I was self conscious as a teen. Most of my height is because of my legs, though! 🤣

I’d say 5”7 is perfectly normal!

No. Give being 5’11 a go and then you know what it means to be ‘big’. Mostly I don’t mind, but the ‘how tall are you’ or people doing mini double takes when they see you can be tiresome. You always stand out.

I immediately understood the OP about a '5ft 7 and a half female' as meaning a 5ft 7 1/2" female. As OP hasn't been back, I call 'experiment'. Interesting results OP.

I'm 5'5", so exactly average, and I think of women who are 5'7" as tallish but not remarkably tall. My MIL was 5'7" before she started losing height in old age. When she wore medium heels I definitely felt short beside her.

5’7 is a bit taller than average, but not particularly tall. I’m 5’11, so I do feel tall in the U.K. but I’m very happy with my height. To me there are no disadvantages to my height at all. If some insecure men think I’m too tall, that’s their problem, not mine. When I went to Berlin a few years ago, it was a massive eye-opener, as many women were taller than me. I actually felt normal!

I looked this up on the charts for UK and age 40. 5'7" is on the 90th centile. 10% of women are taller than you and 90% are shorter-so tall, but not exceptionally tall.

I'm 5' 8" and although it's definitely not average, I love being this height. I wear heels if I want and really don't mind being kne of the taller ones in the room. Embrace the height!

I am 5’9 and consider myself tall but not unusually so. If I was 9 stone however I’d be underweight and more bothered about that tbh!

It's definitely taller than average but not worthy of comment. I know plenty of women your height. Interesting how many ppl are saying it's average height for women when statistics will clearly say otherwise.

My teen daughter is 5'7 and very average among her friends. Two of her female friends are 6'0 and over

I do wonder if it depends where you live/ your demographics. At 5'9, I rarely meet women my height or taller where I live.

I am not quite 4ft 11 and to me you would be a giant!

I am five foot eight, I am considered tall in the circles I move in, although two of my closest friends (not local to me) are really tall. I would like to be an inch or two taller actually, but I am as tall as my Dad, and I think I am taller than average.
It does depend on age of course, people are getting taller.

I'm 5'7". I wouldn't say I'm particularly tall, but definitely taller than average. Definitely tall in heels.
I don't notice it day to day, but in a larger group of friends I realise I am taller than most.

Now, that is short.

I absolutely love being 5ft 7. On the tall side of normal. I associate “big” with overweight/big boned which I’m not. I am really flat chested though so long legs compensate for that 😂. Hate that way male constructs of how women should look impact on us so much. You be you and love the height, weight, shape you are. ❤️
