To really dislike female radio DJs?

I either find them hugely irritating, mindlessly positive and over enthusiastic and insincere like Zoe Ball ( have to turn her off in the morning,she's too much and I fear she's going to spontaneously combust with over excitement ) Elaine Paige ( with her incredibly annoying gurgling laugh), Sara Cox and Lisa Tarbuck ( with her stupid zany voices, cringe ) or insufferably earnest and pretentious like Jo Wiley or Mary Anne Hobbs on 6 Music.

Tbf I did like Annie Mac, Annie Nightingale and Janice Long but that's probably because they seemed genuinely into the music they played and weren't twats.

I'm probably being unreasonable but I honestly can't bear to listen to them!

yeah because Chris Evans and Jeremy Vine are amazing with lovely voices and not at all annoying

If you are writing off an entire gender, I think it is because if sexism rather than anything else.

I doubt it's because they have vaginas that they annoy you? If so, the problem is with you!

I find about 90% of all DJs annoying, regardless of sex.

If you struggle to like any female dj and say it's because they are female, then yes you are being unreasonable.

I can take or leave Zoe ball - I do find her a bit like an excitable puppy and that doesn't work for me first thing.

Can't bear Fleur East or Jo Cox. All the others are ok. Also some good male DJs (Simon mayo) and some crap (steve wright). But there is something about a woman DJ who screeches or is over gushing about something...and no its not misogyny, its just something I don't like.

Do you love Jeremy vine? Can you not think of a single male radio presenter you don’t like? Because you names several females you did like… so you don’t hate ALL female radio presenters do you. You find some radio presenters annoying, like we all do. Not sure why you need a woman bashing thread about it on a predominantly female site.

Sounds like your problem is Radio 2.

There are other stations outside of the 2 you have mentioned OP.

I feel like I 'should' like female DJs but I really struggle to and no a lot of male DJs aren't great either, I'm just not as irritated by them.

YABVU to write all women DJs off on the grounds of their gender. But I have to say I have always found Zoe Ball unbelievably cringeworthy with her “I’m mad me” excitability. She is almost worse now as a post ladette than she was when she was married to Fatboy Slim and drunk all the time.

Cant stand any DJ who talks over the music or guests.

Mary Ann Hobbs is bloody awful though.

Love Sara Cox. Her voice is great, nothing wrong with regional accents. Quite like quite a few others too.
