To really dislike female radio DJs?

I either find them hugely irritating, mindlessly positive and over enthusiastic and insincere like Zoe Ball ( have to turn her off in the morning,she's too much and I fear she's going to spontaneously combust with over excitement ) Elaine Paige ( with her incredibly annoying gurgling laugh), Sara Cox and Lisa Tarbuck ( with her stupid zany voices, cringe ) or insufferably earnest and pretentious like Jo Wiley or Mary Anne Hobbs on 6 Music.

Tbf I did like Annie Mac, Annie Nightingale and Janice Long but that's probably because they seemed genuinely into the music they played and weren't twats.

I'm probably being unreasonable but I honestly can't bear to listen to them!

Personally loathed Chris Moyles, found Steve Wright cringeworthy and couldn't listen to Nick Grimshaw, but I don't write off male DJs.

Can’t abide the mindless drivel any of them speak so I very very rarely listen to the radio, usually only when my phone won’t connect to the Bluetooth in the car. I don’t have a radio at home, i like music not a one sided inane stream of someone else’s word vomit. I want to listen to songs!!!
Turn off the radio 😂

I hate all radio presenters male or female. I turn the station as soon as I hear talking.

Except maybe the Classic fm ones.

I agree with you OP.

Jo Whiley used to make me turn the radio off immediately, as does Zoe Ball. Tbf, ZB doesn't annoy me as much on the TV but on the radio she just pisses me off to be honest. I love Sara Cox on TV too but can't stand her on the radio.

I don't think I have a standard hatred of all female djs though as I also couldn't stand chris moyles or latterly, chris evans.

I love Harriet Scott on magic radio.

Clara Amfo is brilliant. Genuine and knows what she’s talking about.
Katie Thistleton and Charlie Hedges are entertaining too as they can always make me laugh.

It just sounds like you don't enjoy more lightweight 'chatty' radio DJ's? Unfortunately it does sometimes seem like some radio stations with women do hire only one personality type whereas with men there is a much greater variety 😔

Can't believe no one has mentioned Gary Davies. He was always annoying but what has he done to his voice? It's like he's been to a voice coach or something 😬. So awful.

Sounds like you just don’t really like Radio 1 or 6 DJs? Neither do I, far too much talking.

Mary-Ann Hobbes never used to talk - the Breezeblock was an hourlong mix originally. Very occasionally used to tell you what the tracks were, but mostly not. That was fine. She now seems to feel she has to talk all the time. Zoe Ball and Sara Cox have always been annoying (as have Chris Moyles and Chris Evans).

We listen to a lot of pirates/community radio (Reprazent, Rinse etc). Significantly less annoying DHs, of either gender.

I'm clearly instrumentalist as well, then - I don't just dislike soprano (never mind fucking whistle tones) voices, I also dislike violin and other higher register instruments.
