To have never heard of these chocolates before?!

I had my lovely friend over for lunch today, we organised it as it'll probably be the last time we see each other now in between the craziness of children and Christmas coming up!

We exchanged some small, token gifts and she had bought me the most beautiful looking box of chocolates! I hadn't actually ever seen them before or heard of the brand.. and am not even sure how exactly to pronounce it

'The Signature collection' truffles by a brand called Booja-Booja. I then had to have a little Google, and I love everything they stand for!

I'm not a vegan / dairy free, but am actively trying to reduce how much meat and animal derived products I'm consuming so I'm absolutely DELIGHTED to find these chocolate truffles are dairy free! They taste incredible 🤩

I text my friend to thank her, and she was absolutely shocked to find out that I had never heard of them before!

During my Google I noticed how pricey they are.. I must admit they aren't something I'd have the spare cash to buy myself on a whim, but they do look as though they'd make lovely gifts!

So (light hearted of course!!)

AIBU to have never heard of them before.. let alone tried them?!

To add, I'm now sat having a child-free moment (very rare!) and enjoying a cuppa with my very posh looking box of truffles 😅 I'm trying to savour each one!

Booja Booja clearly aren’t putting their sizeable margins to good use paying for proper marketing if this is what they’ve resorted to.

I’d never heard of them until was gifted some. Style over substance, nothing to write home about at all

They are very nice, and perfectly acceptable truffles. Bonus that they are also dairy free, so can gift them to my (fussy) dairy free uncle.

Our spam filter kicked in - we're unhiding this thread now. OP has been around for some time and we've no reason to doubt them.

I'm veggie and eat a lot of vegan products. These chocolates are overpriced and overrated.

Would be VERY surprised if this post isn't someone trying to do research or marketing for the company. It is so not genuine.

Those Booja-Booja truffles are nice enough, a bit like Thorntons used to be before they went downmarket. I dont know if they're amazing and rare enough to put a wide-eyed post on Mumsnet, though!

Not tried then but bought some a few years ago for a vegan family member. I think they're quite pricey for what they are.
Last year my friend made me some dairy free truffles and they were amazing. Hoping they might do the same this year.

I've earmarked Kennedy's site for chocolates after hearing about it on another thread. They look amazing. Tried booja booja years ago. Not that good, imo.
