To go to the Queue in London in my wedding dress?

I'm not getting married tomorrow but I married earlier this summer, the dress has so many special memories for me and I would love to wear it to honour Her Majesty.

What do you honestly think?

Rafting2022 · 17/09/2022 23:02

You’re bonkers it’s freezing

ExecutiveStrategyCoordinator · 17/09/2022 23:02

🤣🤣

Raindancer411 · 17/09/2022 23:02

I think I saw a message saying they had stopped people queuing, so you may be a bit too late.

Threelittlelambs · 17/09/2022 23:02

It’s really not about you.

CarpeVitam · 17/09/2022 23:02

Attention seeking or what! 🙄

Whadda · 17/09/2022 23:03

That’s not attention seeking at all.

LeggyLinda · 17/09/2022 23:03

It’s up to you.
But I would say no. It sounds very impractical and inappropriate

beavertowers · 17/09/2022 23:03

Have you been on the dubonnet?!

Lagattolove · 17/09/2022 23:03

just a tad millennium

DameCelia · 17/09/2022 23:03

I'd think that you couldn't even let the late Queen have her lying in state be about her, without you shoe horning yourself in to it.
Hint: It's not about you.

JustJoinedRightNow · 17/09/2022 23:03

Honestly? My thoughts are that you’re trying to get in the newspaper under a tagline “bride queues in wedding dress!”

Now you answer honestly, were you for real considering doing this?!

Bryonny84 · 17/09/2022 23:03

If you're not there already I think you'd be too late as the queue is almost at capacity. You'd be cold wearing a wedding dress all night long, I'd take a coat.

Honestly? If you want to then do it but people might think you're a bit odd IMO. That's not to say you shouldn't but you'd need to go and get in the queue now.

stitchinguru · 17/09/2022 23:03

I’m cringing…

butterfliedtwo · 17/09/2022 23:03

People hsve gone completely mad.

MrsFezziwig · 17/09/2022 23:04

Well unless you’ve failed to mention that the Queen turned up to your wedding in the summer and completely upstaged you, it’s not on.

Animalcrossyroad · 17/09/2022 23:05

I don't think you're any less sane than all of the other people who are in the queue or went to see her.

Perpop · 17/09/2022 23:05

Unless you’re Beatrice i probs wouldn’t

Floralnomad · 17/09/2022 23:06

Don’t be so ridiculous , unless you got married in a very ordinary everyday dress , it absolutely screams look at me . Attention seeking of the highest order .

Patapouf · 17/09/2022 23:06

I'm sorry to be unkind but ffs really??? Absolute shocker of an idea. Totally massively inappropriate and also just weird.

I think queuing to view a coffin and the concept of lying in state is horrid but to go and do it in fancy dress is disrespectful. It's not a charity fun run or a jolly.

Womencanlift · 17/09/2022 23:07

I have not been in the “everyone who queues is off their head” crew as I do think if people want to do it then let them

Except this - this is ridiculous. Either you are off your head or want to be noticed. Absolutely nothing to do with respecting the Queen, if anything it is the complete opposite

MarmiteCoriander · 17/09/2022 23:07

Why would you???? Just that? Surely you'd wear something suitable for mourning?

Are you yet another journalist OP???
