I'm not getting married tomorrow but I married earlier this summer, the dress has so many special memories for me and I would love to wear it to honour Her Majesty.

What do you honestly think?

OP posts:
bofski14 · 18/09/2022 00:34

What do I think? Batshit crazy attention seeker springs to mind.

MelodyPondsMum · 18/09/2022 00:34

Thanks for the laugh Grin

Wafflesnsniffles · 18/09/2022 00:36

Attention seeking and entirely disrepectful. Dont make an exhibition of yourself.

BruceHellerAlmighty · 18/09/2022 00:39

Well I'm going to go dressed as fucking Paddington.

SwapPlaces · 18/09/2022 00:42

It’s entirely inappropriate. This is not about you.

CallMeLinda · 18/09/2022 00:44

BruceHellerAlmighty · 18/09/2022 00:39

Don't forget to hand out marmalade sandwiches in the queue for extra overload points

pinheadlarry · 18/09/2022 00:49

BadNomad · 18/09/2022 01:03

Do it. Let us know when you get near the front.

GreenFingersWouldBeHandy · 18/09/2022 01:04

Haha do you crave attention?

I think I'll go dressed as Ronald McDonald.

Boxowine · 18/09/2022 01:12

It's not about you.

BruisedPear · 18/09/2022 01:30

😂😂😂 this is a joke?

CaptainBarbosa · 18/09/2022 01:39

I agree, do this, sounds perfect! How wonderful and sentimental

You have my backing 100%

Trinity65 · 18/09/2022 01:46

Surgarblossom · 18/09/2022 01:47

CarpeVitam · 17/09/2022 23:02

Attention seeking or what! 🙄

Indeed!

Trinity65 · 18/09/2022 01:47

BruceHellerAlmighty · 18/09/2022 00:39

Well I'm going to go dressed as fucking Paddington.

😄😄

Speedweed · 18/09/2022 01:53

Isn't that the outfit the other woman normally wears, as she flings herself on the coffin shouting 'he loved ME the best, I know it, I KNOW IT! as his widow and family stand looking on in horror?

PyongyangKipperbang · 18/09/2022 02:03

PRobably already been called but my first thought on reading this was "reverse!!"

I suspect that the OP has a bonkers friend/relative who has decided to do this (cos the Queens death can of course be re-purposed for Instalikes, we all know its what HRH would have wanted 🙄) and the OP is trying to show that person the folly of the idea.

I really really WANT this to be the case because the alternative, that we are sharing MN witha narcissistic basket case, is too much for me to deal with.

Figgygal · 18/09/2022 02:03

Attention seeker walker with no regard as to the occasion they'd not let you in anyway I expect

PinkyFlamingo · 18/09/2022 02:16

If this isn't a wind up you clearly need help OP.

gokartdillydilly · 18/09/2022 02:29

Well, there was a Tardis, a Rhino and a telephone box, so why not. FFS, it's a Queen lying in State, not your story

HoppingPavlova · 18/09/2022 02:42

No. It’s inappropriate and disrespectful. But I guess you really know this.

Thegroaninggurner · 18/09/2022 03:56

Has everyone gone mad?

oatmilkicedchai · 18/09/2022 04:28

PaddleBoardingMomma · 17/09/2022 23:02

Demented but do it anyway cus it’ll be hilarious

1😂😂😂😂 This cracked me up! High time Mumsnet added a 'like' buttons for other posts

TheLadyofShalott1 · 18/09/2022 04:28

I think a PP who suggested that the OP is a writer for a newspaper, is very likely to be spot on - it is probably us Mumsnetters favourite one, the Daily Fail! Sorry, but I can't bring myself to call anyone working on that waste of paper and ink, a journalist...

Zonder · 18/09/2022 04:58

It might get you on twitter I suppose.
