If you are married or in a long term relationship how often are you intimate with your partner? Honestly!

I feel your responses have been odd. There has been no acknowledgement of nuance or that people are talking in terms of what is typical not what is set in stone.
I just mentioned my friend as an example of how people are different.

I do find it regimented. It's on a par with date night. But if it works, it works. More sex for you! I'm not sure why you take issue to my opinion. You should be super laid back!!
Again, this is where I think you're missing the nuance. At no point ( unless I've missed it) has any poster said they have sex at a certain time on a certain day!

I took issue when you suggested we tell our child when we're having sex! Comparing me to someone who puts a sign on their door to tell their kids it's private time.Bizarre and insulting!!

Oh if that's all that upset you then thats fine. I take it back. I inferred it from when you wrote that you chose not to use your time on phones or watching TV. To me that involves having a house full still! As I said we have completely different circumstances.

Together 14/15 years ish. 4 kids together oldest 9. Youngest 3. About 2 to 4 tines a week. But not on my period.

You seem quick to make assumptions instead of actually reading what has been written.

Again, I didn't say that's the only time and I've never said we plan it. I said we tend to have sex at those times.....

I do make assumptions. I don't call people odd though. I personally found that a bit of a low blow. It's not derailing really. But I get that you have other things to be doing! (I'm obviously kidding) Have a good evening!

I used to read threads like this and feel so unhappy and jealous when I was in my sexless marriage. FOR YEARS.

Now with DP, 2 years in and a lock on the bedroom door, 8-10 a week! Most days and often twice. It is fucking awesome!

However, least often at bedtime as we ate early 50s and get knackered.

Afternoon delights are usually what we enjoy when all DC are in school - can really let ourselves go when house is lovely and quiet. At least once a week but have had really dry spells over the years when they were all small. Would usually have a good blow out even then once a month where we needed it desperately and made sure we put time aside for it to happen.

DS is 7 and in bed by 8.30/9pm so instead of watching TV we'll often have an early night ourselves.

We also tend to have sex early in the morning before DS wakes up.

Our bedroom is on a different floor too which helps.

I'm aware that as DS gets older things will change but we'll make it work.

We only really do afternoon delights during school week because we have a teenager now who is up later than us usually at bedtime!

We rarely have sex in the PM because of older DC milling around.

Together 13 years. We have a 2 & 3 yeas old. We aren't intimate are often as I would like. At the moment once a week.

With late DH (together 12y married 10) it would be daily even after having 2 kids

With DP it's once or twice a week... he doesn't really like sex... I'm not his type

In my experience the men will always want it more than the women - it's their way of feeling affection but I need to be mentally turned on first. Hate planned sex

Married 12 years
1 x child and currently heavily pregnant
currently every day. Sometimes this is multiple times per day. I would say 3 times per week when we are very very busy but both get a bit grumpy. Obviously not currently relevant but we still have sex when I am on my period.

Can I ask how long each session takes? I love sex and am trying to politely say to my husband that if he was up for quickies I'd be literally at it daily but he always wants some kind of massive sensual session.

Together 10 years. One young child who still gets in bed with us. We don't have a good relationship the last few years and argue a lot at the moment.
It probably averages out about once per month, which all things considered isn't bad going.

Together 20 years, married 18, no children.

We had sex on Christmas Eve and then again two weeks ago, on holiday.

Vaginal atrophy after menopause means sex is painful and leaves me very sore. As DH suffers from premature ejaculation, it hardly seems worth it, but I doubt I would bother with anyone else now.

Feel I am missing out.

Twice a week average, more at the moment as TTC. I’d probs like a little more often to
be honest but I get that we’re tired and life is busy.
