Every morning or don't feel fully awake.

Probably most evenings as well if exercising or going out. Not ever evening.

Ramble0n · 23/08/2022 21:36

No wonder there's a bloody drought with all these Mumsnetters showering 15 times a day.

No drought restrictions or drought where I am in Scotland. Never had one here.

But grew up in a country where there were many restrictions and water costs a lot of money.

greenacrylicpaint · 23/08/2022 21:42

after a sweaty workout. sometimes mornings. sometimes evenings, sometimes lunchtime.
never more than once a day.

I have a quick morning one and a quick evening one, I assumed that’s what everybody did! Shock

me too

(maybe it’s an Izzy thing…☺️)

O lord! The difference an 'f' can make. 🤦‍♀️

SHIFT!

🤣🤣🤣

jewishmum · 23/08/2022 21:48

Whenever I can squeeze one in when DS naps and DD is occupied.

Kanaloa · 23/08/2022 21:50

TokidokiBarbie · 23/08/2022 20:58

Yeah, I shower twice on non work days.

Seems pointless showering in the morn when you're torquing a truck wheel in the pouring rain an hour later. Or in the plant room in full protective gear on a hot day with sweat beading on your forehead and trickling down your back.

😂 yes I think I’d maybe shower in the morning if I worked in an office but when you’re wiping up after small kids all day it’s just a wasted effort. Better to shower the paint and snot off myself when I get home!

DawnBreaks · 23/08/2022 21:50

I shower in the evening, then slob about in pjs for the rest of the night. These people who shower in the morning only, don't you feel a bit grubby going to bed after working all day? As someone said earlier, I don't want to shag, with the days sweat on my bits and bobs!

Purplehonesty2 · 23/08/2022 21:51

7am and then again before bed. I hate the bedtime shower but dh has one and the kids so I feel manky going to be bed if I don't!

Crackercrazy · 23/08/2022 21:52

Evening. I have a thing about being clean before I go to bed. If it’s extra hot and I’m sweaty I’ll shower in the morning too.

Kanaloa · 23/08/2022 21:55

Wavingnotdowning · 23/08/2022 21:03

Feeling terrible now. Does EVERYONE shower every day? No strip washes?😱

Realistically most people shower daily. Strip washes are greatly popular on mumsnet but no way are they practical in everyday life. My enduring thought about strip washing was seeing someone on here say they were better because you get cold in the shower as opposed to a ‘soapy rummage under your pyjamas.’

ellieboolou · 23/08/2022 21:56

About an hour before bed, if sweaty, had sex or on a period I'll wash in the morning too.

Hate getting into bed feeling unclean.

Tuilpmouse · 23/08/2022 22:00

Firstly when I wake.
Then when I get to the pool before my early morning swim
Then after my swim
Sometimes over lunch if I go to the gym
When I get home from work
Then before bed... or twice if I have sex (before and after).

So potentially up 7 times... but at least I'm clean!

worriedsister1 · 23/08/2022 22:01

Every evening around 7:30.

I get in from work, dinner and shower or bath, clean comfies for the evening then bed.

Every morning I fill the sink, have a flannel wash which is face, pits and bits for me.

Hair is washed twice a week and I'm so glad I've trained it from 5 days a week because it's so time consuming to dry and straighten.

RewildingAmbridge · 23/08/2022 22:02

Morning to feel clean and fresh for the day, but I do like a quick pre bed shower in the summer too, especially with fresh line dried sheets!

minidancer · 23/08/2022 22:06

Morning after exercise and around 7pm once I've cooked. I can be in and out of the shower in under a minute if I'm not washing my hair. Never understood how a flannel wash is seen as the quicker option..

Backtoblack1 · 23/08/2022 22:07

Every morning. And sometimes at night too. I hate feeling unclean

FlySwimmer · 23/08/2022 22:08

I prefer evening. I almost always wash my hair at night. However if I’ve been swimming and/or to the gym, I’ll usually have one after that, even if it’s in the morning. I don’t like morning showers as it feels like moisturisers and similar don’t sink in as well (maybe I don’t leave enough time), meaning I feel kind of sticky when putting clothes on afterwards. Interesting that a PP mentioned that antiperspirant works better if applied at night, I definitely agree with this, & probably other products too, at least for me.

JesusMaryAndJosephAndTheWeeDon · 23/08/2022 22:09

Depends. I shower in the morning if I am going to work, then again in the evening if I have exercised in the evening. If working from home I just shower in the evening after exercise.

Weekends after exercise, might be late morning to early evening.

Montague22 · 23/08/2022 22:09

Morning and evening. Evening is literally a 3 min wash.

browneyes77 · 23/08/2022 22:10

Morning shower

I don't see the point of showering before bed given I'll sweat overnight anyway.

So unless I fancy a quick shower before bed because I feel a bit riffy, I'll shower first thing once I'm up.

I do an office job and work from home, so it's not like I'm running around during the day getting super dirty before bed.

IKnowAPlace · 23/08/2022 22:11

It completely depends - I WFH and have a lunch break hair washing habit! I used to shower in the evenings pre-covid but more of a morning person now.

Ramble0n · 23/08/2022 21:36

No wonder there's a bloody drought with all these Mumsnetters showering 15 times a day.

I was just thinking the same!

Michellebops · 23/08/2022 22:12

Both. Peri menopausal sweats and high temperatures are not a good mix
