How much do you spend on your hair a year?

We were doing a family budget and my biggest and really only personal expense is my hair. I think I am well within the national average for a 47 year old woman, DH thinks it's ludicrous (even though he spends equally on trainers and clothes). So how much a year does your crowning glory set you back?

Presently about £650. (I get it cut each 6 to 8 weeks). It's my main expense too.

I've been cutting it myself for the past 3 years

About £700 a year. Have it cut & roots done every 4/5 weeks.

About £400-£500. But that's only the past couple of years as I have started getting my greys covered.

Previously it was about £120-£150.

About £450. 1/2 head foils & cut every 6 weeks at £60 a time, I use litre bottles of Tigi shampoo and conditioner at £7 each that last me for months and Dr Paw Paw heat defence spray.

About 200.

About £1200.

About £700 a year

3 haircuts x65 plus Probably £30 shampoo/products so £220.

Used to be probably about 1500, maybe slightly more.

much less now as I’m naturally grey. Women’s haircuts are more expensive, and I’m assuming your husband doesn’t colour his.

About £100

I only get 2 - 3 haircuts a year and use a mid priced shampoo/conditioner with a deep conditioner once a month so I'd say about £300 a year.

3x haircuts = 3x£30 = £90.

3x colour/cuts = 3x£100 = £300.

so approx £400 per year.

I remember when I first did a budget planner, the total amount we spent on family haircuts shocked me, I didn’t realise it was so much. Now found I good hairdresser and changed my style which means I can stretch the time between haircuts so saves a bit of money.

£30? It's cut once a year/18 months.

About £3000 Afro hair can be an expensive labour of love. That includes 2x good quality wigs. Braids in the summer, bi weekly deep condition and steam treatments in the hair dressers.

Probably about 1200 as well; cost varies on what I have done each time but I have a cut/colour every 6ish weeks

It's my major beauty expense too at around £700.

£60, cut twice at £25 each plus a couple of extra fringe trims at £5 each. I tend to cut my fringe myself most of the time

I have it cut and blown dry about twice a year. Did use a salon that charged £70/80 a time, but on Friday used our local "old ladies" hairdressers, they were so lovely, did an excellent job, charged me half the price and I felt good about supporting my local salon. So moving forward it will be £80 a year.

I am 47 with no grey, have never had it coloured, and have long curly hair.

Six 'bloke' haircuts @ £18 = £108
Minimal (bar) shampoo (v short hair)
