Is it all day or evening only? Is it in a Church/religious venue?

Lastqueenofscotland2 · 09/08/2022 16:20

I think the front is fine I’d not wear something with a slit up to my arse for a wedding though, no.

waterbotherer · 09/08/2022 16:20

It’s lovely but I’m sure someone will tell you the back shows too much skin. But I think it’s fine!

AryaStarkWolf · 09/08/2022 16:20

It's gorgeous, I LOVE that colour too

Thatiswild · 09/08/2022 16:21

Looks like lots I saw at a wedding recently, although I’d probably have a little wrap or something during the day, love the colour.

ChubbyCaterpillar · 09/08/2022 16:21

If you think you'll feel comfortable in it go for it.

I think it looks more like an evening dress because of the low back and the shine to it though.

Seasidemumma77 · 09/08/2022 16:21

Love it

Clarinet1 · 09/08/2022 16:21

If it’s an informal day/evening occasion - I think the low back would raise eyebrows in a church, say.

PandaOrLion · 09/08/2022 16:21

Depends on the wedding I think, and if you’re a similar shape and height. My niece wore one similar to our wedding and it really suited her, but if the wedding involves a ceilidh it might be harder.

Having seen what people wear just out in the street these days, this is pretty modest in comparison!

Adca · 09/08/2022 16:22

Love the colour. It'll be lovely for a summer wedding.

TheBikiniExpert · 09/08/2022 16:22

Is it on a beach? Ok.
Is it anywhere else? No.

Lindy2 · 09/08/2022 16:23

I think it's more of an evening dress for a party like a birthday.

I wouldn't wear it to a wedding. Wedding outfits tend to be a bit more formal.

10HailMarys · 09/08/2022 16:24

Depends on the wedding. It's really lovely but it's an evening dress, rather than day-wear, and the slit at the back is very revealing.

If it's in a church she could just throw a shawl over her shoulders for the ceremony, I think it's really nice for a summer wedding especially

ApolloandDaphne · 09/08/2022 16:25

I think it is highly unsuitable and would roll my eyes if I saw you in it at a wedding. It is a lovely dress but for an evening out and might work as a dress for a casual beach wedding, but it would not be the type of thing worn at the weddings I go to ( think typical Scottish wedding with kilts and a ceilidh).

SarahSissions · 09/08/2022 16:25

If it’s a church wedding then no, the slit and low back are too much. It’s a lovely colour though.

DashboardConfessional · 09/08/2022 16:27

It's been photographed on a beach for a reason. If it's a British wedding in a traditional venue the back is a bit much.

RuthBrenner · 09/08/2022 16:27

The slit is way too high, the straps and the draping at the back look messy. It's a bit of a hot mess all round tbh.

For a holiday, a party or a club yes, for a wedding no. It looks cheap and a bit attention grabby. Sorry!

The dress is beautiful and will certainly suit that type of wedding!
