AIBU To think most women would think I'm weird

Inspired by a confessions thread I saw on MN earlier. I shower and wash my hair regularly but I've never shaved my legs higher than under my knees, I don't shave my armpits and only have a trim from time to time downstairs and I've never had a single hair on my eyebrows touched with tweezers or anything else.

Am I really strange or can anyone else say the same. I was with my first husband for 11 years until he died and I've been with my 2nd husband for 8 years now and had a few boyfriends over the years and never had any complaints (to my face at least) But I've always wondered if other women shave and tweek a lot more than me.

Forgot to say that I've never shaved my arms either but I'm not sure if many women do that anyway.

I've never shaved my legs above my knees, there's no hair there to shave. My eyebrows are naturally a nice shape. Armpits get done when I remember or intend to wear a vest top. Bikini line gets done occasionally..DP doesn't mind. I don't ask him to shave ...

I don't know the percentage but of course hairiness will be along a continuum, count yourself lucky!

I wouldn’t think one way or the other about it tbh, certainly not weird but then neither is doing lots of shaving etc, no big deal to me what other people do

I think your approach is pretty average. I have the whole spectrum across my friends, from fortnightly waxing to not owning a razor.

I’ve not thought much about the leg shaving before… but now you mention it… I never shave past my knees either. But nothing really grows there so there’s not much need for me.

I do shave my armpits but often let it grow a fair bit in between…

Only ever shaved my lower legs but haven’t done that for over 30 years. Eyebrows untouched. Used to shave my pits but since breast cancer my under arm hair doesn’t grow 🤷‍♀️

Pubes untouched.

Maybe weird isn't the right word, I just mean I've always wondered if my lack of shaving and never having my eyebrows done was uncommon amongst women in the western world.

I do think it is unusual (not in a weird sense, just in a ‘not the norm’ sense) to not shave your armpits.

Perhaps it’s generation specific but most woman I know shave their armpits.

I don’t shave above my knees, but I wax my bikini and shape my eyebrows.

I only shave below my knees and my knees themselves when they are on show, have very hairy knees lol. Armpits same again or very occasionally. And down below get an occasional trim.
I used to get my eyebrows waxed a few times a year, now just pluck the stragglers when I see them.
So although I'm not completely au naturel I'm an ever so slightly neater version of it!

I don’t think you’re wierd but it’s a very different approach from me. I’ve lasered everything from upper lip down off.

I think there are quite a lot of us.

I shave my legs (below knees only) only when I have to wear a skirt or shorts, so a couple of times a year. Armpits every few days. Bikini line..... I can't even remember. Certainly pre Covid. Eyebrows, never.

I used to have my hair cut twice a year but now have my greys done so four times.

Definitely not high maintenance!

I have very hairy legs and was mortified as a teen that my mum wouldn’t allow me to shave. (I was/am a “pleaser” too going against what she said wasn’t an option then.) I do now wax and shave underarm. Not so much downstairs as I can’t work out how to do it without causing massive irritation 🤣

I’m sure many of the school run mums think I’m pretty rank - I don’t often wear make up
and when I do it’s very light. I seem to be surrounded by people who are very heavily made up. I personally don’t like it, but I reckon they probably don’t like mine either 😳

Most women I know shave under their arms and do a bit of eyebrow shaping. Legs generally in the summer (I don't bother as not very hairy and I cover them up). We are middle aged and I only know one who waxes her genital area - I've never done more than a trim even when young. No guy has ever mentioned it.

Not weird at all. I don't do any of those things routinely and rarely have since I grew out of my self-conscious teen days. Never found it worthy of comment, and nor has anyone else (to my knowledge).

I can't remember the last time I lifted a razor, it's got to be 3 if not 4 years ago. I don't do my brows either. I don't care. I don't care if other people care either.

I shave my legs to my knees, armpits reasonably regularly, and only shave my pubic hair to a neat length every few months.

YABU if you think others would find you weird. Each to their own.

It's all a bit of a faff really. I avoid shaving my legs completely during colder / legs not on show months and only trim my bikini for swimming. The 90s did for my eyebrows so I hardly ever do anything with them. I personally don't like having hairy pits so I will wax them.

I could probably do with paying some attention to my nostril hair though...

No makeup here. Some eyebrow tweezing. Regular underarm shaving but only leg shaving when on show- and because I’ve got pale skin and dark hair.

I also have to remove hair before a swim as even a boy leg doesn’t hide it.

I wonder how many of those who don’t shave actually have very little or very subtle hair.

i hope I’m wrong and there are hordes of hairy worn out there being happy not giving a shit!!

The new How To Spot An Mner is to look out for Hairy Women!!
Can't imagine having armpit hair.
Legs from under knees shaved every day.
Downstairs trimmed and edged as necessary..
Everyone is entitled to keep their body hair should they so wish though!

I don't think you are weird

I've never plucked/shaved/threaded or shaped my eyebrows in any way.
I rarely shave my legs and never above the knee.
I shave my armpits but not regularly and rarely at all in winter.
I've never been to a beautician, had a beauty treatment or had my makeup or nails done.
The hairdresser is an ordeal I endure maybe twice a year.
I don't think I'm weird, I just really hate people in my space or fussing over me.
