McDonalds price increase

I see that McDonalds are increasing their prices so from today their cheeseburgers are going up from 99p to £.1.19, a 20% increase.
I don’t eat there often but as the company made $12.58B last year, a 29% increase from the previous year, then I think it’s sheer greed to put their prices up.

YABU - the cost of living has gone up and therefore they should increase their prices
YANBU - they make massive profits therefore they should keep their prices on hold.

I'd be a lot more confident about what goes into a McDonald's beefburger patty than those found in local takeaways, many pubs, most food trucks at events and similar places.

I doubt there is much difference in beef burger patties or minced meat anywhere

I remember show where they tested the £1 burgers (patty is about 36p) and it came back with quite a lots of offal in. Which is fine except when it's sold as meat.
Still better than breadcrumbs and stuff!

hamstersarse

getting a delivery of McDonalds to your door really gives me the shivers. I’m not sure how you could be lazier

But is a MacDonalds delivery any worse (lazier) than getting any sort of takeaway delivered??
I usually go and get MacDonalds but our nearest one is 15 min drive and it's not as nice when it's a bit cold.

Pretty sure that's not remotely true.

Prices have definitely gone up there. I recently bought a couple of meals using the order machine thingy inside. It didn't give the option of a 'meal deal', so I ended up paying for each part (drinks, fries, burger) separately and it wasn't cheap.

You think that's bad? Order on Uber Eats. They'll charge £4 deliveries plus add 20-50p to each item.

And the stuff arrives bloody freezing! In fairness, it must be nigh on impossible to keep the fries hot.

Well it is. Now re reading, I did not mean Maccies patties. I meant the super cheap ones from cash and carries.
Frankly, what would people expect for 30 or so p

There are always meal deals. You used the machine wrong!

@SuperPets
Gah, I'm a bloody idiot! I didn't see that option at all and I did look.
