With the price increases of generally everything it's bugging the life out me even more than it did previously. I've always said my household use far too many per week but surely 9 per week is excessive. We are a family of 3, DC, husband and myself. It's definitely not my DC using excessive amounts or putting some down the toilet etc because DC likes an audience when doing the toilet and likes reassurance she is wiping correctly.

That's way too many. Are you sure someones not using them to make a secret fort somewhere?

We are family of 3 and I buy two packs of nine every other week so we use same. We may use very marginally less as every few months I find I’ve enough not to buy on the week I should be

A family of 4 who use 9 a week. It's the men in the family who use loads.

As one person I use 3 rolls a week.

Being certain of being clean and dry as it were is more important than saving maybe 50p and then being unclean.

Have you always used that many or has it gone up recently, because we seem to be getting through more than we used to, so I'm wondering if the rolls have been getting smaller.

Surely it depends on what make of toilet paper you use.
We found we use a lot fewer rolls since we switched to using Cheeky Panda.

3 here. A box of Who Gives a Crap 48 rolls lasts about 10 months.

Double sheets per roll. So the equivalent of 2.2 per week. And we wfh.

2 adults, about one roll a week. 3 each is a LOT imo

A local cafe uses them and the quality is dreadful. School loo quality. No wonder you use less 😃

To be honest it's a mixture of everything, I've always thought we have used more than the norm, we are both predominantly WFH so that's understandable that we will be using more but come on, like someone said I'm sure it's my husband, I've joked that he must wrap it round his arm like a bandage before he wipes 😂 I do also think the rolls are getting smaller too like someone else mentioned.

That's a lot. We are 2 adults and a DC and use about 6. It used to be 4 but now DH and I are working at home. I thought we used a lot as DH has IBS but seems not.

It will vary huge depending on which toilet roll you are buying.

Compare the number of sheets per roll as well as the thickness of the paper.

2 of us here. If DH is away for a week, I'll use 1.5ish rolls. If he's here, we go through 4-5. I've asked him before to stop using so much, but he definitely doesn't think he can! 🙄

6 of us here with a dh who has colitis and ibd, and we go through at least a 12 pack a week and then add on when me and dd1 have our periods... Well God knows how many more.

Two of us here, we buy 9 rolls every 3-4 weeks or so. So about 1.5-2 rolls a week per person, but we buy the really cheap stuff so there's not much on there anyway

Please let your DH use as much toilet paper as he wants or needs without harassing him about it!!! Really can't believe this thread.

9 rolls a week is loads! Are you using cheap loo roll? If so, maybe buy a pack of less cheap and see if it works out better value for you.
I buy own label, but not the 'basic' one. Lasts as long as branded (which I only ever buy if it's on a deal making the price comparable with OL).

2 of us both female and we use 1 a week.

That does seem a lot - we get through about half that (for 3 of us), and I have a bowel condition. We get quilted stuff (kinder when it's going wrong digestively) so not that many sheets/roll either.

You can get extra long rolls from Sainsbury's.
