To think this is a ridiculous amount of toilet rolls weekly???

With the price increases of generally everything it's bugging the life out me even more than it did previously. I've always said my household use far too many per week but surely 9 per week is excessive. We are a family of 3, DC, husband and myself. It's definitely not my DC using excessive amounts or putting some down the toilet etc because DC likes an audience when doing the toilet and likes reassurance she is wiping correctly.

I'm a boring Microsoft Excel nerd. We buy from "whogivesacrap.com" and receive 48 wonderfully wrapped loo rolls at a time. The stats say we (two adults) get through one roll in 3.75 days! And that's been consistent for nearly three years.

we use Who Gives A Crap too - 24 loo rolls lasts 5-6 weeks. There's 4 of us living here full time (no men).

You do get more on a roll I think.

Only 2 in my house and we seem to use about 1 a day.

2 adults, 2 kids. We go through 9 a week usually. If anyone has runny nose or period then it can be up to 12 a week.

I remember a comedian saying his wife wrapped the loo paper around her arm like she was going to wax & buff the car. He swung his arm around like he was wrapping his arm up. It was hysterical.. 😂😂

I remember an episode of Extreme Cheapskates and a woman who used to ration loo roll. Each family member would have a daily allocation and she would tear off a certain number of sheets for each person and hide the rest of the roll.

We hammer thru loo roll in this house. I’d say 12 loo rolls last 2 weeks max !! It’s only me and DH as baby still in nappies. Tbh it might be a lot but life’s to short to worry about how much loo roll to wipe my arse. My DH will comment sometimes but I just tell him to piss off. I don’t drink or smoke it’s hardly a big deal. I honestly cannot fathom how ppl use like 9 loo rolls in a whole month ? Do u go out a lot therefore use ur own loo less ?

We get 48 rolls from Who Gives a Crap (the bamboo ones, didn't get on with the recycled paper ones) & that last us about 6-7 months & there are 4 of us.

I've never thought to count. I guess we go through a lot though judging by the comments here. We both work from home full time, and also I have IBS, so that's just how it's gotta be!

I’m not about to ration loo roll! We get through tons. Rather that than someone I know rations it to 2 sheets for a wee and 3 for a poo.

Family of 4. I reckon we use 9 rolls a fortnight. DP complains that we use too much! Just Tesco own brand.

@PinkiOcelot DP never changes the roll 🙄 so I just remember roughly when I last changed it. It helps that we only have one loo to keep track of!

My husband eats the stuff, he’s either enjoying himself a bit too much, or I’m going to walk in by accident when he’s not locked the door one day and find him perfecting his mummy Halloween costume.

I’m not about to start rationing it, the only thing that pisses me off is the call of can you go pick up loo roll Adam I’ve been at work all day and he’s been wfh, he never runs out when I’m the one wfh and he’s in the office.

Some people wee more than others. Some people do messier poos than others. Don't make them justify their usage.

Why more when you are on your period? Are you wrapping used sanpro in it? Can't you use the wrapping of the next one?

We buy a 9pack every week but we have a bit of an overstock in the utility.

One roll a week of who gives a crap. I get the premium bamboo one and it's great.

Oh don’t start my DH on this we are about 18 a week!!
me, DH, 3 teenage DDs and 12yo DS. The teenage DDs are the culprits I think they eat it. We buy supermarkets own brand to save money a bit I refuse to use the really cheap stuff as it’s a false economy

I live by myself - in lockdown when evryone was faffing about loo rolls, I ordered a box from "who gives a crap" - they're extra long, and really nice.
They suggested that I'd need a box every 16 weeks, which seemed excessive given that there is 48 in a box.
Each roll lasts for two weeks ish, often longer. I am still working my way through the box that I started in April 2020, I think there's half a dozen left.

Ah, that makes my 2 years+ on a single box just for me sound reasonable😀

2 adults using one roll between them per week? I'm finding that a bit of a stretch to believe.

7 of us in our house and we use 1 roll a month.

I find that if you cook a chicken properly and stretch it out for a fortnight, each meal is so teeny tiny that nobody ever needs a shit.
