Would this give you the "ick" aibu?

I've been on two good dates with a guy.
Yesterday was his day off and today
He sent me pics of him sunbathing in his garden.
Then said he was off to York (we are from Newcastle)
Within 45 minutes he sent me a pic of him in a pub in York ...only thing was in this picture he had a big coat on
I thought it's 30 degrees and your wearing that.
Then later in the day he sent videos of the pub etc ..and I noticed everyone was dressed in more warmer clothes (coats,hats etc )
He was obviously sending me videos /pics from months ago pretending to be there...
Then a few hours later he sent me a pic of his legs sunburnt in his back garden (but he was apparently wearing jeans in York )

This is odd isn't it?

Yes very odd! I'd have to question him re the hats and coats - 'are you sure you're texting from York and not February?' or something similar. Then dump.

I haven't no,just incase I'm wrong and look stupid.
I really don't think I am tho
Also the pub looked like a busy Saturday night not a Monday afternoon at 2pm
I've just got this feeling I can't explain
That it's a bit off

Oh dear. Yes, he's trying to sound exciting, but has only succeeded in making himself look extremely dull. Not arsed about lying and not even any good at it.

You'd think he'd have made up something more thrilling than sitting in a pub.

Bullshitting for no good reason puts me right off a person. A bit of fluffing a story for extra oomph? Sure. I can tolerate that, but outright making shit up? Nope nope nope. There must be a reason for it. Was he spending time with someone else and just needed an excuse to make sure you didn't pop over?

Thing is I didn't care if he was in the garden or sat in the Maldives.
Now I kinda don't want to speak to him

How very strange. I’d be tempted to have a bit of fun teasing him but I can see that could turn unpleasant, and TBH he’s either a massive sadsack or a pathological liar, so bin worthy either way. I wouldn’t waste any more time TBH.

A quick google says that the drive from Newcastle to York is about 90 minutes. How did he do it in 45?

He is always putting pics on his Instagram of pints of lager and pubs etc
Makes me now think I wonder how many times he was actually there or just sat in his house pretending

How weird 😳 I wonder what the actual motive is… I cannot think of any reason why he feels the need to do this other than if he wasnt who he said he was and wanted to be seen living a ‘normal’ life but was too dumb to remember what season we were in …. but clearly it’s not this as you have met him in person. I’m very intrigued by this one!

but in terms of pursuing the dating - absolutely not girl! Squish it whilst it’s young!

a true fantasist would post cross country skiing, extreme scuba diving with hammerhead sharks, free fall parachuting etc….
